Located on the edge of charming and historic Speightstown on the West Coast of Barbados is this fully air conditioned 3 bedroom 3 en suite bathroom, 1,700 sq ft beachfront penthouse duplex apartment with high vaulted ceilings covered and uncovered terrace with sea and beach views.

The property is well equipped throughout and includes 2 dining areas (one adjacent to the open plan fully equipped granite kitchen and one on the terrace with covered area, sun lounger and large retractable umbrella) and living / TV area.

All bedrooms and the living areas are fully air conditioned with ceiling fans. All bedrooms include their own private ensuite bathrooms and TVs .The property includes house keeping, towels and linen and is in an deal location, directly opposite beach with safe swimming, and is also within a short walk to shops, bars and restaurants.

Bedrooms:

Lower level: 1 large ensuite bedroom with super king bed, 2 built in cupboards and a marble top dressing table, air conditioning and ceiling fans.

Upper level:

2 ensuite bedrooms, 1 with a king bed and 1 with a queen bed both with high vaulted ceilings and built in wardrobes, air conditioning and ceiling fans.

Kitchen: Granite topped Italian (Scavalini) kitchen with double sink, large fridge with freezer section with ice making machine.

Electric oven, hob, microwave and dish washer. Toaster, kettle and other kitchen appliances.

Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer, hand washing basin, storage and electric water heater.

Living Room: Dining area with large “Sia:” 6 people glass topped wooden dining table with quality rattan dining chairs with cushions.

Sitting area with 2 large sofas (1 x 3 man and 1 x 2 man), 2 side tables, large wall mounted 50 inch flat screen TV + TV cabinet, DVD player with IPOD attachment.

Other: The terrace includes a covered area as well as an uncovered area ideal for private sun bathing.

The terrace includes a round glass Oliver Jordan dining table which can set up to 8 people.

Outside: The terrace includes a covered area as well as an uncovered area ideal for private sun bathing. The terrace includes an Oliver Jordan dining table which can set up to 8 people. Terrace also includes a BBQ, large retractable umbrella and sun lounger. All chairs include cushions.

Coast / Beach: 40 yards from the beach. The beach is very quiet and offers great swimming. You can also walk along the beach to the north for at least 2 miles where there is a long and quiet beach leading up to Port St. Charles luxury marina.

Golf: There are 3 great golf courses within a 10 - 15 minute drive. Royal Westmoreland, Sandy Lane and Apes Hill. Please contact to arrange Tee times.

Special interest holidays: Water skiing and all manner of water sports can be arranged on the beach directly opposite the property. In house spa treatments can also be arranged by request.

How to get there: The airport is 45 minutes away by car. Car hire is not essential as you can walk to all amenities such as the beach. supermarkets, shops, restaurants, bars, boutique shopping, banks, bus station and police station.

Car hire can be arranged which can be collected at the airport or delivered to the property.

Taxis can also be arranged by request.

Distances: Holetown where additional shopping and restaurants are located is a mere 15 minutes away.

Luxury Lime Grove Lifestyle Centre is located in Holetown. Main town, Bridgetown is approximately 30 minutes travel from Speightstown.

Speightstown offers the best of convenience and amenities - local banks, supermarket, shopping and great restaurants all within close proximity to each other.

Amazing!!!
This was one of our best stays ever!! Communication with Richard was always very clear and prompt. Check in was very easy. We arrived a bit early than the set time, but Volney was already there waiting for us. The house is very well equipped. It is so nice not to have to worry about buying toilet paper, paper towels, dishwashing soap, coffee filters, laundry soap. Another nice touch is that shampoo conditioner and soap are provided. New mattresses and pillows were installed during our stay. The bedding is beautiful and comfortable. Minor issues were dealt with promptly. The house is located across the street from a small but beautiful beach where you can swim and snorkel. The snorkeling is amazing! The house provides beach chairs and towels, umbrellas, water noodles, snorkels and we left behind a pair of fins. The location is perfect! Walking distance to so many good restaurants, groceries and local street vendors. The bus station is a 5 min walk away. We didnt have a car and didn't need one. You can also walk to nearby Heywoods beach and Port St Charles beach where you can also snorkel. The sunsets from the top patio are spectacular! Always something to see on the water. Finally, the property comes with Volney! She is an absolute gem! Her cleaning and maintenance of the property is beyond compare. She is flexible and you can tell when she's been by. She communicates very well and is always accessible. Please never let her go! We would not hesitate to go back

Great spot!
This is our 4th time to Barbados and by far this was the best accommodation we have rented. I loved the close proximity to all of the great restaurants in Speightstown as well as the little beach across the street. The kitchen was well appointed and the living spaces were very comfortable. My only complaint is that the mattresses arent great but I do understand it’s a rental property so you may not get the best quality. We will stay again!

Great location and perfect
The condo is excellent and in a great location in Speightstown. It is across from Baia which a must restaurant. The only issue we had was with the AC units in the interior upstairs bedroom. We were informed that they in the process to service this so I think in future it should be good. Although beach access is across the street, it is better to go towards Haywood beach (5 minute walk north) to the small bay, this is truly paradise! Restaurants in Speightstown are excellent, from sun downers at Just Chillin or Little Bristol Bar to higher end at Local & Co, 111 east, or Baia…lots to choose from. In our 10 days, we must have had the fish cutter at Caboose 5 times! Absolutely a must, especially with a rum punch. Highly recommend!

Another great stay at Sandy View!
We have stayed at Sandy View 3 times and have enjoyed every stay. A great little beach directly in front for quick dips and a long beautiful beach at Haywoods just a 4-5 min walk up the quiet one way street. Close to many restaurants with live music and close to groceries. And of course just a few minutes walk up to the Caboose where you will find one of the best fish cutters on the island!

Fantastic stay in a beautiful apartment! Amazing location, amazing facilities and a really brilliant host, who communicates very clearly and in a timely manner. Big thank you to housekeeper Volney, who was so lovely and friendly, and got us out of a tight spot when our transfers didn’t turn up! (nothing to do with the apartment, booked privately) I love Barbados, love Speightstown, and when we go back, I really want to stay here! Can 100% recommend!

Spent a week at this property. Location great - ocean 20 yards away, shops two blocks away but you felt like you're closer to beach resort than shops. Only minor downside is parking garage is tight - don't rent a large vehicle. We enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back again.

Barbados, home away from home
We were finally able to return to our favourite island after missing last year due to the Covid pandemic. Despite being familiar with the parish, this was our first time staying in St. Peter. The penthouse was exactly what was described, directly across from the beach with a balcony view of the sea. The rooms were spacious and clean and the modern kitchen had everything you need to make a gourmet meal while watching the sunset. The Property Manager, Volney was great! She truly made us feel at home and even made us some delicious Bajan fish cakes. Great restaurants were in walking distance including the new fine dining spot names “Local & Co.” Jordan’s Supermarket was also in walking distance along with a great breakfast spot and a bakery down the street. We all enjoyed our two week stay in paradise and would definitely return to the property.

The apartment is well furnished and comfortable just as pictured and described. It is equipped with all we needed. The location is great just across from the beach and in easy reach of the town by a short walk - ten minutes max. We would love to stay here again if the opportunity to revisit Barbados happens

Good stay.....
Overall we enjoyed staying there, the location is good. The only issue was that when we checked in, the apartment was not clean, the cleaning lady was rushing to clean the apartment but when she left the apartment was still dirty and smelled bad from the previous guest. The next day we talked to the owner and he sent the cleaning lady and this time they cleaned it well. The owner was always in contact with us , Richard apologized for the situation and he took care of it.

This is fabulous apartment right on the beach!
We couldn’t fault the apartment. It had everything you could possibly need. It was lovely sitting on the balcony listening to the sea so close. We hadn’t stayed in Speightstown before so it was great to see another part of the island. My only complaint if you can call it that is the quietness of the town. It does need a bit of kick. All in a great relaxing stay. Volney was lovely and even took us back into Holetown where we were staying for the rest of our holiday.

Beautiful sea view
The property was very clean and well prepared. Volney was an absolute star and looked after us extremely well, including the introduction to Bajan food that she gave us. We very much enjoyed our chats with her. The sea view is beautiful (a little obscured by Hugos - but we knew that before we went) and we particularly enjoyed the very early mornings when everything was quiet. It was useful having a designated parking spot, although there was plenty of on-street parking. The apartment is just a few minutes walk into the shopping area. We preferred Eddies supermarket to Jordan's but for a large supermarket with more choice use the Massy stores in Holetown. We didn't eat out but made very good use of the barbeque. The island is very contrasting with the calm waters of the west coast to the very dramatic east coast and the Atlantic Ocean. The countryside is very scenic with some interesting views. If you are driving get a Jeep, unless you plan to just stay around the main areas on the west coast as many of the roads are extremely poor, lots of potholes or just very, very rutted. Very enjoyable holiday

We were at this property for 8 nights. The property is beautiful but needs some TLC it was close to restaurants stores and the grocery and loved the private beach across the street. My number one issue is the first day we noted ants in several areas and the satellite tv was only playing one channel. I emailed Richard Young the owner who responded back in a timely manner and after more emails and 2 days Volney finally fixed the issues. Any time after that when we had other issues I would email Richard Young but he would not answer my emails he would have Volney call the house to try to solve the issues. I don’t appreciate an owner that doesn’t respond I didn’t pay my money to the housekeeper.

Great location, awesome sunsets, lovely accommodations, fully equipped kitchen - fantastic!
Thanks Richard (and Volney) for a lovely stay. It was a fabulous way to celebrate my birthday. Waking up to that view each morning was dreamy. We love to prepare meals on vacation, trying out local produce and such, so I was very pleased there was a fully equipped kitchen. The BBQ was appreciated and we used it most nights. Speightstown is a gem and your place was perfectly situated for morning walks and evenings on the beach watching the sunsets. Would recommend to friends and hope to return to this property!

Very nice place to stay
We just finished our stay at this property and found the experience very delightful. One could not ask for a finer owner in Richard or for a better assistant than Volney. Richard, I must tell you that we sampled wine punch at nearly every corner of the island on our stay, but Cathy and I found yours the best of the bunch!! Thank you!! And Volney was so attentive to our needs and was very helpful in describing the sites on the island. Thanks, Volney for the recommendation on Harrison Caves. That was a fantastic site, one we would have missed if not for your help. The unit has just about everything a guest could want. The balcony overlooking the ocean provided beautiful sunsets. And the beach is just across the street. Hard to beat. If there was any downside to this property it was the number of stairs that had to be negotiated to get both to the unit and then up to the main floor once in the unit. These we found very difficult in terms of hauling luggage up and down on arriving and departing. However, these were not an issue on the other days we were there. Just something to consider if you are elderly or impaired in any way in terms of negotiating stairs. One of the "perks" of this location is being right across the street from one of the better fine dining establishments on the island, Hugo's. We most definitely would come back for a stay here, especially if we brought our family so we would have some "young bucks" to help haul the luggage up and down. An absolutely stunning place to stay!
We stayed in unit for a week around Easter. We loved the location – right across from what felt like a private beach, but close to everything in Speightstown. This was our second time to Barbados, the first time we stayed in Bridgetown, so it was a nice change to experience a quieter, less touristy village. There were enough amenities to make it feel like a vacation – we got take-out from the Fisherman’s Pub, went out for drinks at Little Bristol’s Bar and shopped at the local markets. The unit itself is beautiful, well-appointed and in excellent condition. We loved sitting out on the deck and the breeze it would bring through the unit. Three master bedrooms was a huge plus for us, everyone felt like they were special. There was 6 of us in the family and there was lots of room for us to gather, and enough space for everyone to spread out. I would highly recommend this unit and location. Richard, the owner was friendly and prompt with communication.

This place is really nice, everything you need. Volney is just wonderful. Beds however are so hard didn’t sleep well for the 9 days. No internet in the back bedroom or bedroom down stairs even with booster. The charges for here is a little strange cuz your being charged in euros no Babados or US. Nice safe town. Love Barbados the people are the freindliest people....

Relaxation in Speightstown
My wife, adult son and his girlfriend all spent 10 days in the White Sands condo in Speightstown, Barbados. The condo was beautiful, clean, well appointed, and with the outside balcony/lanai provided terrific views of the ocean and street below. On first blush the surrounding buildings gave us pause but it is just another reality of small parish Barbados that older buildings co-exist with the new. The town is very safe and the people easy going. Many of the bars and restaurants (all within a short walk) offer good food, and some have lounge chairs and umbrellas for guest use on the beach. We recommend a car rental for a few days in order to see the entire island - but stay puckered, the roads are narrow, left hand drive and the locals move quickly. All in all a terrific stay at a great location with the comfort of an upper end condo to come home to. Our hosts Richard and Sarah were very accommodating with airport transfers and assistance wherever required. Thanks again for a great holiday.
