"Very peaceful place just outside Bridgetown, one to remember. We had a dinner and breakfast which was both perfect. We had a 4 year old child with us, which is probably not the ideal visitor here, but the staff was very accommodating and kind."

"Nice property but they cut the 1 foot tall grass the day after we arrived. The place was in good shape, clean but needed some attention to dusting. I found we had about an 8th of an inche of dust on top of our air conditioning unit in our bedroom. The location was great, across the road from the beach. The first 50 feet or so into the water had big stones ober the sand. Up the beach a hundred feet or so didn't. But its not an issue went swimming twice every day. Overall it was a great...

"We had a lovely apartment in which we can cook if we choose to, the area is nice and quite and very clean with such lovely people our Host was so kind and very helpful as for the Swimming pool it was great. We will be return for next Christmas"

"The pics of the property are misleading. The rooms are very basic. Dated and sparse. I arrived at 3pm and the room was not ready. I had to wait until 5pm as the cleaners were out. I never saw any cleaners and my room was never freshened for the 4 days. There was also never anyone at the front desk. Never! Had to clean hair out of the drain pipe in order for shower to drain. There was a strong smell of marijuana coming from rooms, even though it was a no smoking property. No soap was provided so...

She provided some fresh food for our arrival, extra towels on request, arranged airport transfers, and was generally very hospitable. "From the moment you check in you’re greeted by the nicest team of front office staff. Shakira was an absolute superstar and Terry from ops was also great. Clean, well kept, beautiful location that is second to none. Oh and the guys in landscaping are absolute artists because the grounds are pristine. "

"The property is nice. The resort needs to provide ear plugs for their clients due to the noise of the tree frogs. Because of the way the building was designed, the tree frogs made an echo sound from sun set to sun rise. "Wow!! We had an amazing week at The Soco. The hospitality, the staff, the food was amazing. Each room had a sea view and is equipped for all you need on an AI stay. The location was ideal for us, the hotel is at the of the boardwalk so you could chose to either drink and eat at the hotel or visit one of the bars and restaurants along the front. Which means you can have a quiet or louder night depending on your mood. The food at the hotel was excellent so we had no issues eating most meals at the hotel. The service was top level and the staff (and general manger) went above and beyond to make our stay the best experience. Some people have mentioned the road noise in the reviews- yes you can hear the road as the hotel is on the main coast road, but this never bothered us and we slept so well! The hotel is boutique with only 24rooms (approx) so the staff get to know you and your preferences and the bartenders knew what drinks to make without us asking LOL In summary - my husband and I have a policy to never stay in the same place or hotel twice as we think the world is too small to repeat a visit - but we would stay at The Soco in Barbados again and already thinking about another visit never year- for us that is top marks!!"

"As soon as I got here Karene at the front desk was amazing (please get her a mouse and keyboard for her carpal tunnel). Also staff such as Ricardo (gave me a lighter as I had broken mine in the sea and also always on hand to provide), Christina and Jameka were all amazing and helpful and made me feel like I was at home. What an amazing experience for a solo traveller. The hotel itself is beautiful and tucked away for a great quiet stay. Christina is also genuinely amazing and a great member of staff :) "

"The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was amazing with a wide variety for vegetarians. The beach that the hotel is located on is beautiful, the water is so blue and clear. Overall an excellent stay, we would highly recommend Sugar Bay. "

"Very friendly front desk reception and bellmen. We so appreciated the visitor lounge to change to go to beach prior to room being ready. Equally convenient after check out , we used the showers before leaving to airport. A wonderful plus! We fully enjoyed the restaurants on site. Great value and delicious!"
