Wonderful stay
Our family loved our stay. Fabio & his family were very understanding when our flight delayed 3 hrs & we arrived in late evening. Beautiful setting in a hamlet with a beautiful view. Had great recommendations for restaurants & what towns to visit. I don't normally write reviews but this stay was worth it.

The property was beautiful and the apartment was very cozy and the bedrooms were large and well layed out. It was great that each of the two couples had their own washroom. We were able to cook meals very easily, the kitchen was well equipped. The outdoor terrace was lovely and the pool(although not really useable when we were there) was very nice. Our hosts were very gracious and always happy to help and/or suggest great places for us to see. Fabio also gave us the best suggested driving routes for where we were going. We loved this spot as it was a car ride to many beautiful places we wanted to see. We would highly recommend this rental.

10 stars - lovely home in the Siena countryside
We had a wonderful stay at Urszula & Fabio’s place. They met us at checkin and made us feel very welcome. Excellent accommodations and outstanding hospitality - it felt like home away from home. Very comfortable bedrooms and well stocked kitchen. Location was ideal for Tuscany - easy access to Siena, Florence and other small towns. Hosts provided excellent recommendations for town to visit, local restaurants and other attractions. Pool was very refreshing too! We loved our time here and feel like Ursula and Fabio treated us like family - we will miss them.

A rustic, yet modern oasis
My family and I stayed here for three nights while touring the Tuscan countryside. We were looking for something rustic, almost old world, but with modern amenities. We found it here. The kitchen has elements of a kitchen from decades or centuries ago, but modern appliances on which to prepare food. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very modern, luxurious and the perfect contradiction to the kitchen area. We were able to experience life in the country but with modern amenities. The property is located about 20 minutes outside of Siena which made it a perfect launch spot to visit surrounding areas and cities. We loved our stay and Daniella was a perfect host.

Amazing vacation
We chose this beautiful property based on the pictures and reviews, and we were pleasantly surprised to find everything even more spectacular than we anticipated. Our hosts could not have been more gracious, the house is beautiful, an amazing mix of ancient and modern. Architecturally, this home has been designed with cate and quality details at every turn. The pool was wonderful, we enjoyed it every day. I’m trying to reorganize my life so that I can live in Sovicille for a year.

Charming farm house attached to owner’s house
The farm house is gorgeous and located on beautiful lot of Tuscan land. The property is also a reasonable 20 minute cab from Siena. It was a bit more difficult getting a cab out so I would recommend renting a car and driving. There are also gorgeous wineries and amazing wine tastings in the area. The property manager even showed us around the farm, let us try some of the fruit, and brought us wine! The one downside of the place was the lack of privacy. The pool is shared, and on several occasions the property owner came to our door. On one occasion, he came inside using his set of keys, and one of my friends was in a towel as she just showered and obviously did not hear him knock. She was very startled and it was very upsetting for her. On another occasion, the owner showed up at our door yelling at us to be quiet because it was night time - we were just packing up our bags and cleaning up the kitchen. We were all so startled and again, not everyone was dressed decent.

This place is magic
You will not regret staying here. It is the epitome of the Italian countryside. The updates that these hosts have made to the space make you feel like you're living in luxury while still featuring classic villa architecture. Only ~20 mins from Siena by taxi this place gets you away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy some peace. We are grateful to have stayed here and will stay again! Delicious chianti and olive oil right from the farmhouse are not to be missed. It's the perfect getaway with all the creature comforts.

Be clear about your room expectations
A friend and I were traveling through Italy and wanted to stay in an agraturisma outside of Siena for several days to explore Tuscany by car. The location of this rental property was good and it was authentic in appearance. The kitchen was lovely and functional ( except no coffee maker). The bathroom was recently remodeled and large. Be careful for the slippery shower floor. Our only concern was the property manager lists it as a two bedroom for the price we paid then told us just before the stay that we only needed one of the bedrooms since it was only two of us. When I pointed out that the listing is for two bedrooms, she said we would have to pay more if we want to use them both “just like a hotel “. She said she would set up twin beds in the bedroom so we agreed. But if you expect to use both bedrooms you will need to be clear about your expectations with the daughter, Daniela. The older couple who live on site were lovely and very helpful with suggestions for towns to see. The property is quiet and set in a beautiful location. It was easy to get to Siena and we saw Volterra, Massamaritima and Vetulonia during this trip.

Idyllic Country Home in Tuscan Farm
We could not have been more pleased with our stay in this lovely Tuscan property! We stayed in a top story apartment of a farm house with gorgeous views of the local hills, farms, and vineyards. We especially enjoyed the large farmhouse kitchen with a lovely views! The host was friendly and kind, making an effort to stop by and offer recommendations. The location offers easy access to Siena, the coast, and Tuscan vineyards / olive oil groves. We hope to visit again soon!

In the country, but close to everything
What a nice place to stay. You are in the country, but only a few minutes from Siena, and an easy drive to many of the other great things to do in Tuscany. We used this convenient location as our home base for day trips to many locations around Tuscany. The owners are really nice people, and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. They offered many nice suggestions, and even led us to couple of excellent local restaurants and introduced us to the owners.

Great First Stop on Honeymoon
We had a great time at the property in Sovicille. We used the property as our home base as we explored northern Tuscany (Siena, Chianti, etc.). The house is in a cul-de-sac and is a quiet place at night, which was just what we needed after touring around all day. Urszula and Fabio were great hosts, greeting us with wine and sandwiches upon arrival. Fabio was harvesting grapes to make wine, so he showed us his process and the vineyards on property, which was great. Fabio also led us to dinner on our first night to a restaurant nearby that uses his vegetables. It was delicious and we loved it - a great first meal. Overall, we would recommend the property as Urszula and Fabio were great hosts as we came and went as we pleased.

Wonderful stay, beautiful setting
We had a wonderful stay here. The house was lovely, kitchen had the essentials we needed, and the room and bathroom were recently updated and great! We would sleep with the shutters opened and awaken to the lovely view and sounds of birds chirping. The hosts are so kind and generous. Fabio even had us join him in his vineyard to harvest grapes and showed us how to make wine! The setting is very quiet in a quaint setting. Easy access to Siena, only a short 15-20 minute drive. Thank you Urszla and Fabio for allowing us to stay! We hope to be back someday!

Warm, welcoming hosts and a gorgeous apartment! This is the perfect home base for seeing the real Tuscany. Florence and Siena are nearby and you are situated to easily connect with roads to the many wonderful villages. Two very good restaurants are within 5 minutes drive, right in Sovicille. Fabio is a mine of information and the kindest most patient host imaginable! Urszula too is friendly and always willing to help. Podere San Giusto truly felt like home!

Podere San Giusto was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy
We had a great time at Podere San Guisto. Our 4 days there (with our 3 children, ages 18,16 and 11) were sandwiched between Rome and then Firenze and Venezia and afforded us a great opportunity to relax a bit and experience Tuscany. Fabio and Urszula are very gracious hosts. They bought us some items for breakfast as we were arriving via car from Rome (about 2.5 hours via the Autostrada) on a Sunday afternoon when most area markets were closed. They provide you with privacy but are always available should you have questions or need recommendations. In fact, Fabio showed us the way to a local restaurant one night for dinner and also walked with us one morning in Siena while sharing his knowledge of history which was very interesting. We also enjoyed a bottle of their wine and appreciated the bruschetta they provided one afternoon by the pool. One day, we just decided to kick back and stay at the pool and it was a great time. They have a very nice, clean, pool the kids (and parents) loved. The rooms were nice and clean - just as they appear on the website photos and there was plenty of room for the 5 of us. The washing machine came in handy as we were in the middle of our vacation and appreciated being able to do one (or several) loads. Looking out the kitchen window in the morning provided a quintessential tuscan countryside view. We were very cool and comfortable in the evening with the large windows affording an incredible view of a star-filled sky. It was also a great location from which to explore Montalcino (about an hour, picturesque, drive away) and other Tuscan hill towns. Before we left, another highlight was being able to look through a book Fabio had of his Marzini family history, that dated back well into the 1800s. It reminded me of photos of my grandparent's upbringing in Calabria, and since Fabio's English is a lot better than my Italian, we were able to communicate well and I learned a lot about his farm and the history of the area. Net net, would highly recommend as our stay was one of the highlights of our trip.

Let me share our little secret
When you travel far from home you want to see something completely different, to have an experience so unique that it truly feels like a vacation. That’s how we felt while staying at this apartment about an hour outside Rome. To arrive you must drive past large fields of sunflowers and ancient Tuscan villas built from limestone over one thousand years ago. The apartment is a beautiful mix of modern with hints of antiquity of a bygone era. Large bedroom windows with full length screens allow you to open the windows wide at night allowing the cool breeze to waft in and cool you down without the noise and artificial feeling of air conditioning. We had perfectly comfortable nights rest with a sky full of stars to fall asleep under. In the backyard there is a private pool surrounded by Sangiovese vines and a simple lean to for shade. Comfortable lounge chairs and pads make this a remarkably serene and spectacular amenity in the heat of the summer day. A perfect way to cool down before a siesta or a place to come after dinner to enjoy the smells and sounds of Tuscany. The hosts are an amazing pair who are really living their dream out loud. Fabio and Ursala are constantly working on their farm whether tending to their organic vegetable garden, pruning their vineyard or offering gentle advice on where to eat or see while in San Guisti. You will find no better or more hospitable hosts anywhere in Italy, that I am sure. The property is their life work (and dream) of these two people and we were privileged that they allowed us to share some time at their little Tuscan paradise. Their dedication to being off the grid with a full solar system, organically farmed property is a wonderful testament of how to live simply but more richly than most others. We hope to return one day, maybe during harvest when we can see the bounty from all their hard work. Should you decide to stay here. you will have an experience like no other. Enjoy our little secret.

Wonderful stay in heart of Tuscany
Hosts Fabio and Urszula were wonderful. They had fresh fruit and wine awaiting my arrival, Fabio showed me many of the local highlights. My luggage didn't make my connecting flight and took 4 days to find me - in the meantime Urszula and Fabio offered to help in any way they could and made themselves available to wait for courier when he finally arrived with luggage. Beautiful and peaceful. Great location for driving and exploring the many hilltop towns in Tuscany and I loved roaming the local roads and paths on foot in the morning and evenings. All around wonderful stay.

Amazing hospitality in the Tuscan countryside
From our first moment to our last, our hosts provided us with an unforgettable experience. Urszulu was always reachable by email as our visit got closer, and Fabio was eager to provide a personal tour of the beautiful car routes, help us with grocery shopping, and recommend outstanding dining. The accommodation is lovely and it was a delight to wake each morning to such pretty scenery. The bedrooms and bathrooms are roomy and comfortable, and the kitchen and living area have a nice county feel. There is a nice patio as well. After stays in Rome and Florence, it was nice to change gears a bit and enjoy the Hills of Tuscany. I can’t say enough about the truly wonderful hospitality our our hosts.

Hospitality Above & Beyond
My husband and I spent a month with Fabio & Urszula and didn't want to leave! We can't possibly do their hospitality justice in this review, but will try our best. The night we arrived it was around 9pm and we were not prepared to cook dinner for the evening. Fabio and Urszula saved us and cooked us pasta! (As well as some delicious wine Fabio produces their and sells in the area). Far beyond their duties as hosts. But this was only the beginning. From showing up at the door with roasted chestnuts, apples from the tree, fresh bread from the bakery, wine, olive oil and just their smiling faces often, we grew to enjoy their company greatly. They keep the apartment very clean and even changed our bedding and towels for us very often. The space is lovely and we enjoyed it greatly. We cooked in often, just because we enjoyed being there. The area is great for going for walks. We even walked to a great winery down the road called Poggiarello a couple times during our stay for tastings and even a 4 course meal one night. Fabio spent time with us, taking us around the countryside and into Siena. We were fortunate enough to be there for the Palio, and Fabio took us into Siena for the entire day! From start to finish he knew exactly where we should be to experience each part of the event. It was simply unforgettable. He had fabulous meals in the countryside per Fabio's recommendations as well as in Siena. Fabio remembers WWII and took us to a couple of very meaningful sites in the area. We greatly enjoyed this. He also took us to see his friend's heard of pigs! We ventured to two of the area's hot springs and many of the hill towns and wineries. Besides spending a lot of time in Siena and around Sovicille, we especially enjoyed the Monalcino Area. Recommend checking out some of the Brunello wineries as well as Castello Di Ama for good Chianti Classico and a fabulous lunch. We took the train to Florence several times as it was very cheap and easy. You will of course want a car to fully enjoy the area as we did. Fabio's olive oil is perhaps the best we've ever tasted, and we are in the food industry specifically dealing with olive oil. We got to go see the process of the olives being pressed as we were there during the olive harvest. As you can see, there is much to do using Podere San Giusto as your base. We are so grateful for the time we had. We truly consider our time with Fabio and Urszula an immense blessing. You will not find better hosts in Italy.

Outstanding Tuscany Accomodation
We had a wonderful visit. The home is beautiful with lots of room to spread out, especially after being in a hotel. Fabio and Ursula are warm and welcoming. Fabio let us try his homemade wine and brought us tomatoes from his garden. He also spent a few hours of his personal time giving us a tour of the surrounding area. Highly recommend their VRBO rental and hopefully will return some day.
