"We loved our winter stay in this cute, cozy cabin. Everything was clean and comfortable and the host checked in to make sure we had everything we needed, which we did. There was ample room for our family of 4, were able to hike in Van Buren State Park and along Lake Michigan from the cabin and were still minutes from town to go in for dinner. We were looking for a cabin in the woods with snow, and this delivered. We will be back to this cabin in the summer or fall to experience different...

"Family gathering to celebrate Christmas early. The Cabin hideaway was the perfect location. The cabin was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The kids enjoyed the pool. We had a great time and would recommend staying at the Cabin. "

"My husband and I wanted to have a place to stay where we could fish the river from our rental. This place did not disappoint! As it states in the listing, it is semi-rustic. No fancy amenities, just the very basics. We loved it! Julie was a great host. She is very friendly and helpful. We are looking forward to staying here again next Spring or Summer."

"Really cute cabin! It was the perfect space for me and 7 of my friends to celebrate my birthday. The cabin only allows 2 cars to park in front, which was originally a concern since we had 3 cars coming. But to our pleasant surprise, there were 2 overflow parking passes available to a lot close by."

"This is a cozy cottage and very comfortable. I wish I would have known the second bedroom only had exterior access. Who is doing the cleaning could pay attention to a little more detail. The refrigerator wasn’t super clean and there were items on the floor next to the sink in the upstairs bathroom. Beautiful view outside and very quiet to sit out and enjoy coffee. "

"Really cute cottage in the woods, great to disconnect and relax. The road noise is always there, it is like white noise to us and wasn't a problem. "

"My wife wanted a winter cabin escape to celebrate her birthday, and this was the perfect spot! Nothing beat waking up in the morning with a fresh cup of coffee and watching the snow fall on the lake. There were plenty of things to do, our children (7 & 5) had a great time as well as my parents, who joined us to celebrate. We'd love to return both in the summer and again in the winter!"

"My mom, two sisters and I had a great weekend at the cabin. It was a quickly planned trip meant to be sort of a staycation and this place was the perfect vibe. We took advantage of the fireplace and the hot tub (even in 11 degree weather!). The area is great as well - it’s a quiet location but very close to restaurants/things to do - even in the winter! On top of it all, Elisabeth made sure I had all the info I needed to plan ahead for the stay and throughout, and check out was a breeze as well....

"Overall the place is wonderful and we enjoyed the amenities. My teenaged boys enjoyed the game room, pool at night, beach, fire pit. I loved the bed, having a kitchenette, and the coffeemaker. Much better than a typical hotel version. I’d caution using suite 10 for more than two people. The sleeper was what you’d expect a sleeper to be - not comfortable! The bed is amazing though. "We were visiting town for a family emergency and booked on a night-by-night basis (as the crisis emerged) for 10 nights. The staff was very accommodating with our last-minute reservations, greeted us warmly each night, and showed personal concern for us and for our family member. They even saved us a fresh cookie when they knew we'd be arriving late! The bartenders (because we really needed a drink when we rolled in just before closing each night) were welcoming and kind. At breakfast the staff would ask for an update on our family member, offered prayers, and even wrote "get well soon" on a carry out container for her. I can't say enough about this place! "

"What a nice discovery! This place is just outside the city but ten minutes or less by car to the downtown area and Fredrik Meijer Gardens, as well as a number of nice restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful and the room was wonderful. There's a good on-site breakfast, too. Highly recommended."
