Wooded Cottage in Town walking to Marina, Restraunts

#1 Cottage located in the woods on the Quiet side of M.D.I., walking distant to town and the Great Harbor Marina with more than a dozen restaurants in the area as well as the free shuttle bus system (June 23 to Columbus Weekend) to almost anywhere on M.D.I. and Acadia National Park. Minutes to Acadia National Park, hiking, biking, kayaking, swimming, mountain climbing, bird watching, whale watching, and much much more.
One bedroom with a Queen bed, sleeping loft with 2 twin beds, cathedral ceiling, living and dining area . Heat pump to provide heat on chilly nights and air conditioning for those warmer days and an electric fireplace. Oak flooring throughout. Fully furnished with most items you will need and on request will try to supply any items you may want. A full wood deck with patio furniture and barbecue grill. A fire pit and 4 chairs in the garden and a seasonal stream area in front of the cottage. We can accommodate as many large groups or family gatherings,(14 people) with our three cottages(Homeaway #956783 & #3498716). Shared laundry with 349816 in a separate building which also has an ice machine and books and games. Pet friendly.

South Harbor Get away
We loved this area of the Mount Desert Island. Much less busy than the Bar Harbor area and yet still just a short drive.

Incredible little cabin in the woods near Southwest Harbor
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Woodland Cottage 3 in Southwest Harbor Maine. It was clean, delightfully appointed, and in a gorgeous wooded setting very near downtown. Great central location for exploring Desert Island and Acadia.

Beautiful cabin!
We spent 5 nights at this cabin that was fully stocked with everything our family needed to explore Acadia. Loved staying on the quiet side of MDI, easy access to Bar Harbor and the western side. Host was very responsive to questions and we’d definitely stay here again!

This property exceeded my expectations. Of all the places I have rented up on Mount Desert Island, this was by far my favorite. The location is great, the cottage is amazing and spacious, and the amenities are second to none. I really enjoyed my stay.

Wonderful stay!
We had a great experience at Cottage #1. The property was exactly as listed, and the host was very responsive. We were close enough to explore Acadia every day, but far enough from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor to enjoy the quiet, even if it was rainy and foggy :) The cottage was stocked with everything we needed, from cookware to condiments to dry firewood! We will definitely visit again!

Natural setting only a short walk to town
We love this place because it has all the feel of a camp, but it’s walking distance to southwest harbor shops and restaurants. The air conditioning and heat also made the difference with the crazy weather. One if the beds in the loft is a bit lumpy, but otherwise this place is super comfortable and clean.

We had such a wonderful experience here at the Wooded Cottage. The place was very clean, had great amenities, and was close to everything including Acadia National Park and restaurants. Thanks for an amazing stay! The cottage well stocked everything we needed. The location was perfect, set back far enough that you feel like you're secluded, yet close enough to walk into town (which we did!). The bed was super comfy and the washer and dryer came in handy! Fun Week in Acadia
This cabin was the perfect place to stay to see Acadia National Park and the surrounding area. It minimized our driving which allowed us to see and do more. We loved the grill and the fire pit. We had a beautiful deer drop by and drink from the creek. We loved the privacy that we had here! Owners were great - laundry onsite, fully stocked kitchen, dry wood provided, and so much more!

The ideal Acadia vacation with pets
My adult daughter (and our dogs) stayed at this absolutely perfect cottage and enjoyed three days of hiking. The cottage seems really new although the lovely owner said they have been renting for 14 years. It was really clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It feels like you are in the middle of the woods but just a minute from the cute town and a very short drive to all of the trails. There are three rental cottages on the property and would be wonderful for a family reunion or larger group. We would definitely stay again. Thank you!

A lovely property with a beautiful rustic cottage. The attached deck is perfect to sit, relax, and enjoy the falling leaves. You are only a few miles from Acadia National Park and walking distance from the harbor. The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay.
