This property was delightful. Ingrid was a delight to work with. The property is the northern 1/3 end unit of a 3 unit townhouse style condo, of which Ingrid owns the whole place plus a couple of other buildings on the property, so you're not dealing with a bunch of unknowns.
Being just off the "main" road on Mt. Desert Island in November means about five cars per hour cruise by. In season it is an easy walk to several quaint little shops within a half mile. In November you can get into the local sports pub, where you can shoot a game of pool and watch a game, and the little grocery store. That's just about it.
If quiet and peaceful are your gig, November on MDI is your trip! Each morning we opened the front blinds to see deer browsing on the vegetation five feet from the windows. One morning I nearly hit one when opening the storm door!
There are two bathrooms, one up and one down. Queen bed upstairs, two twins down. Heat is radiant on first floor (which is weird if you aren't familiar) and upstairs is forced hot water. The downstairs shower will give you all the pressure you could ask for. First floor is accessible to wheelchairs.
If you go, bring some general staples... milk, bread, breakfast stuff etc. You can get all meats, veg, etc. for cooking full dinners just up the road. The kitchen has all you'll need for any kind of cooking or dining. It’s a gravel driveway so bring your house slippers. You’ll thank me.
Enjoy!
