Quiet area of the island. We enjoyed a lobster boat ride from the nearby marina. We also enjoyed the local ice cream shop. The drive to Bar Harbor and the main locations in Acadia National Park isn’t bad if you have a car. I would stay there again.
The property was reasonably priced, clean, and met our expectations. The complimentary wine was an unexpected treat after a long day of sightseeing. Small criticism would be the bedding could be upgraded.

This was a very clean, nice place. Could hear people in unit next to us due to thin walls. That was the only concern we had. We tried to be quiet since we could hear them. We didn't want to disturb them.
The townhouse was very clean, very quiet, had everything we needed, and was close to downtown. Next time we plan a trip back to Acadia I will definitely book our stay here.
We had a very enjoyable stay. This property appears to be very well maintained, well equipped and immaculate. Even in the off season, this area has plenty of attractions.
We had a great time during our stay exploring Bar Harbor and Acadia. This place was perfect for what we needed, a great place to relax, plenty of room for everyone. It was a big plus to have the kitchen so we didnt have to go out for every meal and washing machine and dryer were a big perk too. I would definitely stay here again!
This location was great. Being the end unit, we didn't have too much neighbor noise to worry about, and the bedrooms are on the non-shared wall-so it worked great. The location was fantastic, and the owner was great to deal with. Walkable to town, easy drive into the park. Couldn't ask for a better place.
Beautiful, spotless townhouse in Southwest Harbor .Rainy weekend but we got two hikes in, Acadia mountain 2.5 miles away. Lovely afternoon in Bar harbor about 25 minutes away. Great lunch and cocktails another afternoon in southwest harbor just blocks away. Recommend cafe drydock!
Our accommodations were spotless and bright , spacious and very comfy . Had everything we needed to make meals and plenty of room! Ingrid was a great host and communicator . A great location on the quiet side of mt desert island . We would return for sure !
We loved everything about this property. Great location, lots of space indoor and outdoor. Well stocked. The only drawback is the walls are very thin. We didn’t have any problems the first few nights but did hear the neighbor’s tv the last night.
The property was easy to find and close to Acadia National Park. It was the perfect location for all things Acadia and Bar Harbor. We enjoyed being able to cook in our townhouse. Also, the ability to do laundry was great, especially after getting stuck in a torrential downpour while out hiking. The property was well equipped for cooking with the basics provided. Ingrid was great to work with during our stay.
Three of us loved everything about our stay. We enjoyed being on the quieter side of the island. Southwest Harbor is a nice small town, and yet access to all the Acadia National Park sights, as well as to Bar Harbor, is easy. The house is light-filled, comfortable, with all the necessary appliances, etc. Comfortable beds. Wi-Fi works well. Our host was very accessible via email ahead of time to answer questions. We made a great choice of where to stay.
Great location as a home base for exploring Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor
The townhouse was very bright and clean. It was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, utensils and towels. The washing machine and dryer were a big help because we didn’t bring a lot with us. A laundry bag was also available. Ingrid provided clear instructions before our stay and for checkout. We highly recommend this house!
Location is good if you want to be out of the crowds but not have to drive too far to Acadia. Description of the listing is accurate, and the place is very clean. Things to know up front would be that the beds are a bit on the firmer side, and no shampoo/body wash/conditioner is provided. In unit laundry is nice however and includes detergent.
My group and I were so pleased to have booked this unit for our trip over Memorial Day weekend! It was absolutely spotless and had everything we needed. It even appeared as though some updates had been made since the listing pictures were taken which was a nice surprise. We were also able to take advantage of the convenient outdoor area and enjoyed every moment of it. The only thing we felt worth noting was the layout of the living space was a bit funky and we couldn’t figure out a way for us all (group of four) to fit totally comfortably. We made do and didn’t spend a ton of time there so it wasn’t a huge issue but it would have made our stay a teeny bit more relaxing. Ingrid was an incredible host and we greatly appreciated her local recommendations. Southwest Harbor was the perfect location to keep us out of any major hustle and bustle but easy access to popular spots we wanted to explore. Next time we’re in the area, we wouldn’t hesitate to book Ingrid’s townhouse!
Manager was very nice. Compensated me for something I left behind. The only thing I didn't like was being asked to rove sheets and towels and put in washer. "What is the large cleaning fee for".
Love the room and 2 baths. Clean and comfortable.
The property was just as listed. It was convenient to town and quiet at might. The walls are thin and we could hear our neighbors and fortunately every one was in bed early so it was quiet at night. The upstairs room was large and the bathroom was convenient. I am not sure why window was installed over the bed that looks down into the living room. If someone wants to sleep in in could be a problem since light from the downstairs floods the upstairs bedroom. I would suggest a blackout shade on that window. Everything else was fine.
Property was as listed; very clean and updated. Washer and Dryer were great given some of the rain we had. Beds all comfortable and plenty of fans to combat the usual heat during our stay. Location was right down the road from downtown and 15 minutes to Cadillac Mountain and 20 to Park Loop Road. Ingrid provided clear and quick communications and responses.
While it didn't impact us, the walls are very thin as mentioned by some other renters. We could sometime hear the people next door but not an issue. However, if there was a family with young children that woke up early and were loud I could see this being an inconvenience.
Property was very welcoming. Check in and out was a breeze. As easy as coming and going from your own home.
Would stay here again without hesitation.
Townhouse had everything you needed in the kitchen for preparing meals. Washer and dryer worked great with laundry detergent and dryer sheets in the closet along with vacuum, broom and other cleaning supplies if you needed them and dishwasher tablets under the kitchen sink. Coffee and filters were provided for the drip coffee maker.
Rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were spacious and clean. Ceiling fans in the living room and bedrooms along with box fans in bedroom closets. Extra blankets in the closet. Could run washer and both showers and not have to worry about running out of hot water with the tankless hot water heater. Appreciated the second floor fire escape ladder in the upstairs closet that could easily be hung on the window if necessary. Ingrid was quick to reply with answers to our questions. Great communication.

This property was delightful. Ingrid was a delight to work with. The property is the northern 1/3 end unit of a 3 unit townhouse style condo, of which Ingrid owns the whole place plus a couple of other buildings on the property, so you're not dealing with a bunch of unknowns.
Being just off the "main" road on Mt. Desert Island in November means about five cars per hour cruise by. In season it is an easy walk to several quaint little shops within a half mile. In November you can get into the local sports pub, where you can shoot a game of pool and watch a game, and the little grocery store. That's just about it.
If quiet and peaceful are your gig, November on MDI is your trip! Each morning we opened the front blinds to see deer browsing on the vegetation five feet from the windows. One morning I nearly hit one when opening the storm door!
There are two bathrooms, one up and one down. Queen bed upstairs, two twins down. Heat is radiant on first floor (which is weird if you aren't familiar) and upstairs is forced hot water. The downstairs shower will give you all the pressure you could ask for. First floor is accessible to wheelchairs.
If you go, bring some general staples... milk, bread, breakfast stuff etc. You can get all meats, veg, etc. for cooking full dinners just up the road. The kitchen has all you'll need for any kind of cooking or dining. It’s a gravel driveway so bring your house slippers. You’ll thank me.
Enjoy!

4 nights, 5 days exploring Acadia NP. Staying in SW Harbor was perfect for us as it was a little removed from the busy Bar Harbor area but close enough that we could easily get there & enjoy it for the amount of time we wanted. Ingrids place was clean, convenient and all that it was portrayed to be on line.
