Located in Southwest Harbor known as the quiet side of Mount Desert Island, minutes from downtown shops and restaurants.The property is set back off Main Street and next to the golf course! The property is less than a 2 minute drive to Echo lake which has its own beach with lifeguards and much warmer water than the ocean, water reaches 75 degrees in the summer VERY NICE FOR A RELAXING SWIM OR JUST RELAX THE DAY AWAY WITH A BOOK. But if you prefer the Ocean We are minutes from that as well, We have Sand beach that is in the Acadia National Park. Its is also close to the stop for the free Island Explorer shuttle bus that serves the entire Island. Southwest Harbor is 15 minutes drive from Bar Harbor and minutes from Acadia National Park, hiking, biking, kayaking, whale watching and all of nearby attractions.


Property overveiw: This condo style rental has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom - It has a loft bedroom with 1 Queen bed. The second bedroom is on the ground floor and has 1 x Queen Bed + 1 x Twin bed. It will sleep a total of 4 people.

The rental is fully equipped - It comes with linen and towels provided ( PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN BEACH TOWELS) as the rental towels are for the bathroom only. It has a full bathroom. Full Kitchen inc - Stove / Fridge freezer / Microwave / Breakfast table/cutlery, plates, toaster, coffee maker, etc ....

The lounge has 2 and 3 seat sofas plus lounge chair, LED roku app T.V. inc cable channels, Netflix etc, etc + free wireless internet conection.

The yard is at the back of the building and has a picnic table and grill / BBQ

Perfect place for our trip to Acadia NP
Nice place and well equipped with supplies. Acadia is spread out all over the area so you are a good drive to some trails and views but still close to many other trails. I stayed with my 2 kids in college and it was perfect for us.

Perfect spot for a family home base!
We have 2 teens and this spot was perfect. This spot in Southwest Harbor was just a couple of minute drive from the little dowtown, and also very close to grocery store and laundromat. The host was incredibly quick with responses.

Comfortable condo/appartment
The property owner was wonderful providing info and help as needed. The kitchen was well equipped for those who like to prepare meals. Staying on the "quiet side" of Mt. Desert Island was good for us. We had easy access to Acadia National Park and could drop into the busyness of Bar Harbor when we wanted that experience.

Both of my kids loved staying there. They had so much fun exploring the loft and games. They discovered the singing fish deco on the last day and had a blast. My husband and I loved how functional the kitchen was. It was a great stay and we would like to go back!!

Plenty of room/great location
The property has plenty of room including a full size eat-in kitchen. The yard has a picnic table and grill. It's just a short distance to the heart of the village and there's easy access to Acadia Park and Flying Mountain.

Excellent place!
We were so impressed with this guest house. The accommodations were perfect--from the well-stocked kitchen (from cheese grater to lobster pot, cooking oil to salt they have all the little details needed to allow you to cook nearly anything in the kitchen!), the lovely setting, the picnic tables in the back yard, the close proximity to a grocery store and downtown, easy access to Acadia, it is the perfect place to stay when visiting the Acadia/Bar Harbor/Down East. So much better than a hotel in so many ways!

Our stay was excellent. The property was very clean and convenient. We were a short scenic 20 minute drive from the park. There were many thoughtful amenities to make our arrival welcoming like hand soap, coffee and paper towels. The bedding was excellent and helped us sleep well after a day of hiking. Great place to stay for Acadia - would recommend
Great location to check out Acadia! 2 mins from grocery story. The place was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the layout of the place. Kitchen was perfectly appointed. Beds were clean and comfy! Plenty of towels. Check in/out and communication with Tim were great. I wish the shower pressure was a little better, but it still worked fine. Kids room smelled a little musty. Otherwise, wonderful stay and would definitely recommend if you're looking for a place to stay while enjoying beautiful Acadia.

Spiral stairs inside!
This is not a good place for older people or children because of the spiral stairs and the railing upstairs would be easy for kids to fall through. I do not recommend because getting luggage up and down those spiral stairs and in the middle of the night is dangerous!

We really enjoyed our stay. The owners had an exceptionally well stocked home away. Since we flew and then rented a car we were presently surprised to find a large cooler and portable chairs and since we were in Maine we found all the necessary tools to cook and eat our own lobster. The rental we found very clean along with very comfortable beds in a great location to Arcadia but on We really enjoyed our stay. The owners had an exceptionally well stocked home away. Since we flew and then rented a car, we were presently surprised to find a large cooler and portable chair’s and since we were in Maine, we found all the necessary tools to cook and eat our own lobster. The rental we found very clean along with very comfortable beds in a great location to Arcadia but on the quite side which was great since we were there during the Labor Day weekend. We drove through Bar Harbor one day of our stay and it was crazy crowded with no place to even park your car within any proximity of the town, since we had stopped there before on a cruise it was no big deal passing it bye. We are not shoppers so the Southwest Harbor where we stayed had everything, we needed in the cute quant town. The drive to Arcadia from this location is beautify and short, it is not a long drive even to the parks main entrance and it can be gotten to without driving through Bar Harbor. In short great location, clean, well-stocked, great beds and quiet area with a town that has everything one would need.

Just what we were looking for…
We were returning to Southwest Harbor to play golf at the nearby Causeway Club with our adult son. We couldn’t be closer to golf or more comfortable for our stay. Communication with Tim was timely and efficient and the property was spotless and well appointed. We highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again.

Tim was super nice and helpful far before the trip even started. He had great resources to offer us and the place was perfect. Plenty of space, beds, and kitchen appliances. Located not far at all from trails and the park and you could even walk to the main area of southwest harbor if you wanted to which was really cute. Highly recommend!

Things we loved: Lots of towels. Great host recommendations. Great quiet location, and not far from other busier areas. Easy check in. Hot water and water pressure were lovely! Comfy couches, plenty of seating. Well equipped kitchen. Things we noticed but weren’t bad: It gets a little warm upstairs even with the window unit, but you can open the windows for breeze. Didn’t love that we had to clean all dishes by 10am check out time, as we made breakfast on our last morning and had to clean them quickly before checking out. Most places have you load and start the dishwasher before leaving.
