"On the plus size this is a truely unique location and the people that converted this space from a dull 1970s BT building to a cool house should be applauded. It's a perfect getaway location and you're truely isolated (in a good way) but with lots of great walks and places to explore. We really enjoyed all the smuggling past nearby. Things which could be improved - this clearly was a labour of love which needs reinventing. You can feel it's all a bit tired - equipment that no longer functions,...

"Delightful setting - with country and canalside walks from the doorstep. Welcoming host family live next door and there's plenty of private parking on the shared driveway. Comfortable large bed, bright and clean bedroom upstairs with bathroom next to kitchen area downstairs. Lovely to step straight out of front door at dusk to comfy seats overlooking their beautiful garden at sunset."

"The cottage is quirky, as described but is also comfortable and attractive in an highly individual way. We spent a long (and very wet!) weekend there and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We met and briefly chatted to Mandy, the owner, who is very approachable and friendly. We were visiting family in nearby Totton and the location is ideal for that but (during a break in the rain!) we took a stroll through the churchyard to the edge of Southampton Water and round to the Tide Mill and marina in Eling,...

"We looked with enthusiasm at our holiday. But were terribly let down: (1) car parking was a problem (2) accommodation was basic with no "Visitors Book" to leave comments (3) beds were uncomfortable (4) cooking utensils were sparse. When we normally rent there is always a bottle of wine, a few biscuits or snacks and other bits and pieces to get started. Never Again."

"My family and I stayed at the French Mill Granary for 3 nights. We really enjoyed it. Our teenage daughter slept in the gypsy caravan which she loved. The garden was fabulous (our dog loved to run and discover various parts) and the swing was a hit. Everyone was very helpful giving us ideas about the places we could visit. We really enjoyed the Isle of Wight and staying at the the Granary which is in a very good location to travel around. Thank you"
