We stayed at Port at Captain's Bridge for a weekend in November, while attending a wedding. The property description and photos are exactly as you will find the property. The location couldn’t have been better! Everything is within easy walking distance and you have an added bonus of a great coffee shop right downstairs! We will definitely return!
This was a wonderful place to stay, walking distance to everything in Southport. Just a great place for a weekend getaway with your loved one for your anniversary.
Excellent in every way. Great location to shops. Park and walk everywhere downtown S. Port. Coffee shop below rental makes a great breakfast option. Nice porch for evenings. Tall ceilings make a spacious rental feel even bigger. We’ll stocked kitchen. Can’t wait to return.
If you want to experience the town of Southport and be within walking distance to all it has to offer, this is a great place to do it from. We love coming here and being close to the action and this one bedroom apartment above the local coffee shop is just perfect for my wife and I to get away and make us feel like we are Southport locals.
Celebrating our 25th annaversary, we were in the perfect spot to walk the entire town, run downstairs for morning coffee, and sit on the deck to people watch.
We celebrated our 10 year anniversary here and cannot say enough good things about this rental! Everything was so clean. The location was 11/10! We will definitely be staying here again and I can't wait!!
Great trip to South Port and Ball Head Island. Lovely town and the Port at Captain's Bridge was just what we wanted. Down town, we walked or took our bikes anywhere we wanted to go.
This was an outstanding property located in the heart of Southport. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. The unit was very clean and had everything we needed.
Centrally located two blocks from waterfront, this one bedroom condo above Port City Java is bright and we’ll appointed. Walk anywhere in Southport and wonderful coffee downstairs! Two night minimum, but cannot beat this property for the quality, comfort, price or location.
Great apartment with great interior and high ceilings. Was close to everything! Very well equipped!

Perfect accommodations for a perfect weekend
My husband and I loved this beautiful condo above Port City Java. It was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We had an excellent experience with Southport Realty. They suggested some awesome restaurants and outings for our weekend away. We will definitely be back and would love to rent this condo again! Thank you all for making it an excellent experience!!

We love SouthPORT!
Beautiful condo in an excellent location in fabulous Southport, NC. Walking distance to shops, waterfront, restaurants, beautiful historic homes in quaint neighborhoods. Every convenience taken care of for renters, even the coffee 😉. It was a little warm these past few days to sit on the balcony, but a ceiling fan to create a breeze might help with that. We will rent again and recommend to friends!

Great stay at The Port!
Stayed here for a week and loved every minute of it. The location can't be beat! Loved taking the ferry to Kure Beach- $5 bucks with your vehicle- best deal ever! Discovered Potters for buying fresh fish from the fisherman on the pier for the nights we decided to cook. Live music and drinks watching the sunset at the yacht basin was always a good time! The apartment was clean, decorated nicely and very roomy for 2 people. The only complaint (like other reviewers) is the squeaky bed. Mattress is super comfy but the bed needs to be replaced. That being said- I would stay there again!!!

Excellent Experience!!
My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and decided to try out this apartment. We were blown away when we walked in of how nice the accommodations were. 15 minute drive to the beach, excellent location for food and shopping, and the porch location is perfect for people watching. One minor item... the shower head did not have great water pressure (looked like a leak on the shower head). We will be coming back again next year!

Great location, beautiful, and clean!
This is the coolest place in town. Perfect location to walk everywhere. Love the balcony where you can see the water and people watch. This place is super clean, clean, clean. The decor is amazing ... such a darling place! Would recommend this place in a heartbeat with one exception. The bed/mattress makes a loud creaking, squeaking (hard to describe) noise. Every time I rolled over, it woke me up. Really odd. I wanted to come back again this year, but was deterred because I like a good night's sleep while on vacation. If you are a deep sleeper, it may not be a problem for you. Everything else about this place is absolutely perfect!

Lovely Condo in Charming Southport
My husband and I attended a wedding this weekend at the Southport Community Building for our close friends. I happened upon this listing, and I am so happy we decided to stay at the Port at The Captain's Bridge. The condo is super clean and has everything you will need. We were thrilled about the fluffy towels, plentiful kitchen utensils and appliances (blender, tupperware, etc), and comfortable bed. We went down to Port City Java in the mornings to get coffee and egg sandwiches and ate breakfast on the wonderful balcony while people-watching. As mentioned in another review, a fan may be a worthwhile investment for the balcony since the sun shines on it in the morning. We enjoyed Caswell Beach, the Christmas Store behind the condo, and walking to Waterfront Park to watch the boats. The condo had a ton of space for the two of us, and we will definitely be back here next time we visit Southport. Thanks for a great place to stay during our vacation!
For us that location was good because we like walking, trying different restaurants, and shopping. If you were a beachgoer this is not a good location.
There were several inconveniences like towels being ragged, parking was a daily issue, and having four remotes To figure out.
The most disappointing issue was cleanliness. When we arrived there was laundry in the dryer and washer, the floors had not been swept or mopped and the bathroom have not been cared for. We contacted the realtor and within 30 minutes the cleaning service arrived and within 10 minutes they had touched up everything. They left the clothes in the dryer for us to fold.
With the COVID-19 pandemic being present in our country one would have thought that cleanliness would’ve been priority one.
Our suggestions would be: First find another cleaning service. Second a fresh coat of paint on the marred walls and doors. Third upgrade the furniture.
Location is the best assest. The condo was quite spacious and we did enjoy the balcony area. With that said, the place simply needs a fresh eye on it to freshen it up a bit and definitely needs new towels... I found it disconcerting that there were no provisions available to separate trash and recycling in the condo. There were, however, 4 trash and recycling containers in back of coffee shop that we were expected to haul out front and return. Of course we complied with that although I had to wonder why this became our chore to take out the coffee shops trash. There is NO designated parking. My husband inquired at the insurance shop next door if we could park in their lot until street parking became available which they kindly granted.
With a little effort, this could be a 5 star because it is a great location.
This location provided a great place to relax for the day / night with the ability to walk to local restaurants and stores. Accommodations here far exceeded our needs.
Thank you to the owners for adjusting our days due to an ice storm . . . everything was perfect for our stay here.
