Beautiful spot to relax
This is a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. More than enough room for us (2 couples), comfortable beds, large living room to relax in and you can't beat the yard and the views. Short walk to a lovely beach and close to lots of places to shop, eat & drink. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return!

Nice house and great location!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was comfortable and exactly as it looks in the photos. The backyard is really pretty. Best of all it is a great location near Greenport and all the wineries nearby!

Gem of a property and fantastic owner. The place is just as pictured, with an even better back yard. The location is incredible. Close to great restaurants, wineries, and other great attractions of the North Fork. We usually go at least once a year and would definitely stay again!

My favorite North Fork getaway
I've stayed at this property several times and I love it more every time. The owner, Pindar, is a pleasure and the house is very comfortable. The location could not be better. It's in close proximity to the beach, wineries, breweries and restaurants.

We have been returning to this place every summer w the family. It has an amazingly serene water view from the yard and is walking distance to a kids friendly beach. The place is very cute and has everything we need for a family w kids. We’ll be back next summer

We enjoyed staying again in this cottage with a beautiful view of the pond. Kayak paddles to the sound and strolls on the beach were therapeutic. It was an added bonus having Pindar just a 5 minute drive away so we could sip our wine on the deck each evening.

The property owner was able to communicate with me, but it was impossible for me to respond to the property owner. Nice place. Beautiful view. My wife is in a wheelchair and the space was very tight for maneuvering the wheelchair.

Lovely stay
As it was our first trip to the area we loved everything about our stay at Pindar’s. He was so accommodating in every way and the home suited our needs perfectly. Situated on a lake with an occasional swan swimming by and a short walk to the beach on Long Island Sound the location was perfect. The house had every amenity we needed and we enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the lake from the Adirondack chairs. The home is near the many area wineries and farm stands. Just a perfect place in a perfect location.

Charming house with fabulous views
My girlfriends and I had a wonderful time. The house was just perfect for our needs. We cooked in on Friday and went out to dinner in Mattituck on Saturday. It was a delightful weekend. One thing to note - It appears that bees have made a nest below the shingles that cover the roof by the picture window. Feel free to contact me if you need more information about this.

Nice stay near Long Island Sound
Great location on an inlet with quick access to a beach. Very close to town and the wineries. Owner is a local winemaker and gifted us a nice bottle of wine. No actual complaints except that the home stayed a bit warm for our liking in the downstairs bedrooms even with AC and fans. Also, one bathroom was challenging, but we knew there was only one when we booked. It is a simple property, but comfortable and served our needs well. We enjoyed the swans, the turkeys, the water birds, the rabbits and the groundhog on property.

Perfect for a relaxing getaway
We loved staying at Pindar's charming cottage not only for the comfy accommodations, but also for the beautiful water views. So peaceful to watch the swans who make Goldsmith's Inlet their home. We were also treated one morning to a doe and her two fawns as they passed through the lovely backyard. It's very easy to lose track of time enjoying the quiet of the morning from the vantage point of the back deck with a cup of coffee in hand. We also enjoyed the complimentary bottle of Pindar's Autumn Gold out on the deck in the late afternoon. Quiet location that's still close to wineries, shops, and restaurants...plus the LI Sound/beach is just down the road.
