"Fabulous hotel. We had an apartment, which was huge, with lots of space for the three of us. It was more modern than the images we had seen online, as well as being clean and well furnished and a nice balcony too. Our hosts were really friendly & accomodating, helping us with late check-ins and taxis when we needed them. The breakfasts were great with plenty of choice, including continental or cooked, (scrambled eggs & bacon). We dined in the restaurant on a couple of evenings and the food & service was superb! Really handy location to the tram stop if you're heading to Basel, approx a 10 minute walk. Although the surrounding area isnt particularly scenic, as its situated on a industrial estate, you do tend to forget about that once you are inside the hotel itself. Thank you for a lovely stay."

"We were looking for a smaller hotel with a traditional Schwarzwald flair in a beautiful location, and this fit the bill perfectly! This is an old house, but entirely up to modern standards inside, with a friendly staff and warm feel. The room was cozy, looking out on the quiet main plaza with its church. We had dinner twice in the excellent restaurant. Breakfast was great - don't forget to make yourself fresh juice or even get eggs to order. There was even a small swimming pool, sauna, a desk with lounge chairs, a great view, and a bar. The Schluchsee was a bit low in water when we were there, but I imagine it is prettier when full, so we hiked around nearby Titisee instead. Highly recommended. "

"I was very surprised how pleasant the hotel was. Great good in the restaurant. Good supportive mattress, good size rooms. Only marked down on the pillows. Too soft for me. Had 3 and that wasn’t enough"

"The property and rooms were very nice, clean and spacious. Breakfast is not available but a ahort ride into town iffers several options for eating. Keep in mind that there is not an elevator and it seems that the rooms are on higher levels. Overall I would recommend staying here as it is secure and a lovely place."
