Nice family campsite, small, great location in the middle of a lovely park, and a friendly owner, but a bit difficult to find - better signage required. Toilet/shower blocks were grim - dirty floors (though it was raining the first day, so most of that was due to tracked-in mud, was better the next morning), cramped and mouldy shower cubicles, with a lot of hair in plughole. However, nothing insurmountable - and let's face it, you're not exactly expecting the Ritz when camping, are you?! Tent was very clean inside, but had a lot of mildew on the walls - needs a deep clean if possible. Decking outside had some sagging and cracking floorboards, which could do with some attention. Loved the location, enjoyed the surrounding park and fantastic playground a 2 min stroll away. Good base to explore Southampton/Portsmouth/Isle of Wight. Affordable and family friendly, with nice firepit/BBQ at each tent and room to run around. Kitchen cabin a good addition, though beer and yogurts were taken from our stash in the communal fridge - make sure to keep yours in a named bag or something. Beds were relatively comfortable, electric sockets and lamp welcomed. Crockery/cutlery/pots/pans and tea/coffee available for use by all campers. Overall, enjoyed by all in our party, especially the children, will likely come back again in the future.
