"I only stayed one night & didn’t have breakfast so I can’t comment on the food. Check in & out was quick & efficient & the staff were very friendly. Room was on the small side but adequate. Bathroom was clean, modern & included a bath. I would definitely stay here again. "

"The rooms are on the small side and so are the bathrooms but the bed was very comfortable and had some nice touches. Tea and coffee and biscuits. The menu wasn’t great but what we had was quite good. "

"All very good and lovely to have a bath however missing a plug, so unable to use. Also very noisy floor in the sofa area."

"Great location, friendly and helpful staff. We had a “cosy” room but it was big and lovely bathroom. My only complaint would be lack of power points. To use the kettle or coffee maker you had to go under the dressing table to swap the plugs and same to use the hairdryer. It was clean and very comfortable and a bonus we didn’t know about was you can walk straight into Burghley house grounds from the hotel. The breakfast was included and excellent. We chose the full English but plenty of options. We didn’t eat there for dinner but the restaurant did seem busy. Would definitely stay there again "

"Really like the historic building. Spacious and attractive room. Breakfast room is a delight and really appreciate being able to have proper table service rather than the all-too-common nowadays buffet."
