"It's hard to describe the style of this new(ish) build which actually looks quite old. Gothic, European? Who knows. It's quite different to anything we've stayed in before. Lovely outlook and very peaceful and surrounded by trees - isolated but not too far from Sheffield. Our first reaction was how dark it was inside but once the blinds were fully lifted things improved although still not as light as we normally like and we found the lounge area quite solidly furnished - no fripperies or...

"We didn’t receive the automatic email of the lock box to check in but the hosts answered our call straight away and were apologetic and gave us the code . The rooms were as pictured and clean, out the back was a vacant block of land for sale that our children ran in which gave them some extra space. The house was opposite the beach but there was a train track you needed to cross to get to it so not as close as expected. Short walk to the town for young children and old people. "

"We arrived to a very nice heated house which was spotless and very welcoming. Once unpack the owner , Terry , arrived to great us and make sure very thing was ok. Very friendly and helpful owner. The house has beach front views and is very roomy with everything we needed for our 4 night stay. It is a 5 minute walk to the shops which has an IGA , bakery, coffeehouse, information shop ,several restaurants and a pub. We had a meal at the pub , great atmosphere and food. "We stayed there with our show dogs as we had a show in Ulverstone which was less than 15 mins away. Great secure backyard for dogs to relax in after the shows each day. And sat out with them on the front porch enjoying the lovely weather. Lovely and quiet area which was good as our dogs remained quiet too. House was a bit warm at night but very comfy overall. Had everything you need. "

"The hut was a small room but the outside bathroom was amazing. Unfortunately the day I arrived there was a huge storm and the power was off. It did come on for short periods so i could boil the kettle etc. A great setting, private and comfortable. Im pretty sure someone has put a squeaky toy under the mattress ☺️ Even without power I enjoyed my stay. Pet friendly."
