Found a cockroach in bathroom. Paper and wrapper under the sheet. Stayed last year and was very pleased. This stay was altogether very disappointing. Cleanliness was seriously lacking.

Very convenient location right off the highway and walking distance to the mall. Facility definitely needs updating of wear and tear but it was pretty clean. Bed was comfortable, included a microwave and fridge/freezer, but TV was not a smart TV to stream. Overall a good option for a quick stay.

In general I would say this hotel is average at best. Lots of stuff left in the hallways. The Customer Service was lacking. No greeting upon entering the hotel. I asked about the area and the response was lacking. The rooms were clean but lacking some small conveniences.

Property is getting run down. Beds were clean and comfy but the bathroom had a lot of mold and floor of the shower very dirty looking. Several of the towels were threadbare. Hard to dry off with. There was also garbage in the room from previous guest.

Price and location are the big plus points here. The lobby was a little unkempt, sole receptionist a little overwhelmed by check in crowd, the room ok, and breakfast just ok. The location of the hotel is extremely convenient to I-95 and I-295 just at the outskirts of Portland. Just outside the hotel is the Maine Mall, still a vibrant and varied shopping experience. Good grocery store very close by, along with other shopping options. Plenty of restaurant and dining options very near or just a short drive. The price of the room is very reasonable. If you need a convenient Portland location to spend the night with a free, if lackluster breakfast, this could be right for you.
