Wonderful family getaway

Great Location
We had a great time for the second year in row plenty of room for our family. The unit was clean and plenty of linens, the girls really liked the two washers and dryers in the wash room. Easy beach access right down the street. We will book this unit again.

Much needed getaway.
This place was PERFECT for us. Great location. The house was exactly what we needed. If we didn’t have it, it was there. Grocery store and coffee right around the corner. Beach close by. It was cozy and homey. Already planning another trip and will use this place again.

Spring Break Trip
Location of property was great! Super close to the beach and walkable distance from majority of bars and restaurants. The provided beach items and extra amenities were extremely helpful with our stay. We really enjoyed the large amount of space to hang out and get some rest. The kitchens weee also helpful for cooking meals. Communication with host was excellent. Any minor inconvenience was taken care of or addressed in a timely manner. Only issues we ran into were small inconveniences with cleanliness but was no issue to take care of. We would stay here again!

This property was spacious & only a short walk to the beach. Any issue was quickly addressed by the contact. We did encounter a bathsuit.bottom left on the shower rod, but disposed of it & went along with our stay. Overall i would recommend this property to a yone!

The house is comfortable but old and need some maintenance on some areas, in our last night stay the heat broke down, Kristin our guest tray to fix it but she was unable to do it because it was in the first of January (holiday), in general we spend a good family time.

Many dirty dishes upon our arrival. Kitchen was disheveled, dirty, and overcrowded providing no room for guest food in pantry. Rust was present everywhere, both inside and outside. Several rooms had ceiling water stains and the bathrooms had mold present. I would not say the property was distressed, but it really needs much maintenance and repairs before it should be rented out. We looked into staying somewhere else upon our arrival, but nothing similar was available, so we were stuck. This is by far the worst rental home we've stayed in during our ten years of using VRBO. The home is very close to the beach, has very nice decks and balconies and a nice little backyard, so it has great potential, however it needs much work to be an acceptable accommodation.

We had a wonderful stay! We traveled with our two littles, and great news, the master closet and bathroom can each fit a pack n play! Woohoo! So if you are needing a darker space for your little one to sleep for naps , the closets are bigger than they look in the photos :) The host was very responsive , we had a question about the AC and she sent someone over asap, really appreciated how quick it was addressed. The location is perfect and walking distance to the beach, she has all the beach toys, chairs , umbrellas etc that you could want to borrow ready to be used in the garage! Also had a wagon that was really handy for taking strolls with our little guy in . The pantry and kitchen was well stocked, all the cookware and serving dishes you could need plus lots of spices too. Really enjoyed our stay !

The cleaning crew did the best they could, but the house is very run down. Faucets are barely attached to the wall, the dishwasher doesn’t work, floor tiles are crunchy/cracking/over cut/uneven. The whole house needs to be touched up and deep cleaned. Lacking attention to detail. We would not stay again.

Overall it’s a pretty nice place. Great location! Upon arrival we had to wait an hour to access the home. The cleaning staff were a little rude as well.. The trash can was full and we did not get another can until day 3 so the trash stunk pretty bad! There were no wash cloths to use. The linens weren’t stocked. We barely had toilet paper to use. Most of the rolls were in the closet barely had paper on them. One kitchen towel for each side was a little difficult. The owners were nice though.

The property was spacious for all 8 of us. We’re a clean/neat family and some of the things we saw was disgusting. The floors still needed sweeping. The plates in the cabinets and microwave was dirty. There were objects left in drawers in the bedroom. Dirty tissue left on one of the beds. The air vents, bathroom fan vents and ceiling fans were very dusty. There were little black ants everywhere. We had to go buy spray. Guests should not leave condiments and other items behind if used, that’s gross. There were only 1 face towel per bathroom. We went and bought more. The white towels need to be thrown away and not rewashed constantly. There are items that need to be thrown away and not re-used. This property needs a deep cleaning. I was so happy to leave this morning.

Over all we enjoyed our stay at Kingfish, both master bedroom showers are really small for a grown adult, (if you drop the soap you have to turn the shower off and get out to pick it up.😎 The property was clean and really close the the beach everyone in our group did not want to go home. The only other problem was the next door neighbor, he is racist jerk. My son in law is a wonderful black guy that would give you shirt the off his back and an Army veteran, the neighbor made a remark that didn’t set good with my wife a I about painting Black Lives Matter on the back of his truck then saw us looking at him as we setting on the deck. So my suggestion would be to be careful if you are planing on renting this property if you are black. One more thing that bothered us about the neighbor next door, people are non stop coming by his house all day long and into the evening picking up a canvas bag in then leaving, we thought it was a little suspicious. Just make sure all of you stuff is secure we just thought it was a little strange.

So disappointed Stay away
On arrival, one central air conditioner not working. When it got fixed later that day, the repairman said it hadn’t been serviced in a long time. Filters were black & in need of Freon. I spoke to Kristin & she apologized & offered to buy us dinner, which I accepted. Still awaiting payment from her. Next, the refrigerator’s were full of the other renters food, so we had to throw all there crap out before we could go and fill it with our food. My son sits on a deck chair & it breaks & he crashes on the ground. Luckily he wasn’t hurt. The next morning my son & his wife complain that the advertised sleep number bed won’t operate. We determined that the remote was broken and we bought a new battery, still nothing. Big lumps they slept on for five nights ! Told Kristin that too, but nothing happened to come over and look at it. Next day, woke up to no hot water ! Told Kristin & she said to check the breakers but we’re not aware that the water heater breakers were outside on the back of the house. Luckily, we got it to work again. Went to use the hot tub & it was so filthy, brown water, so know way were we going to get in that scum bucket. All the beds were very uncomfortable, furniture needs to be replaced. Hole in wall, definitely needs paint & updating. Also, when we opened out one of the dishwashers, it came crashing into my girlfriends leg because it’s not attached to the underside of the countertop. I’ve rented many times from VRBO & Home Away & by far this was the WORST unit I’ve ever had ! Even had to put light bulbs in the outside lights so we could see the steps at night. My advice is stay away & go somewhere else. Only good thing was it’s prox to the beach !! You’ve been warned !!!

Went to SPI with my family and my parents, as well as my sister and her family. We had such an amazing time. There is plenty to do just being at the rental! Home location was so close to beach access and property had plenty of beach toys as well as a wagon to haul all of our things! We will definitely book here again. NO COMPLAINTS!!!
