My Family and I had a 5k on the weekend we stayed. Location was very convenient and really didn’t have to leave the property. Restaurant was great and the beach was walking distance. Definitely will stay again and recommend.

We enjoyed staying at this property for family vacations when it was The Sheraton, because of the convenient location, and the friendly staff. This time, the staff was friendly as before, the live band in the bar was better than before, the beach was lovely as always, and I liked the fun atmosphere of the new Margaritaville decor.

We arrived in the wee hours of the morning after some long traffic delays only to find out that because we were "late" checking in, we were reported as no shows, and our booking was cancelled. I could not find a late check in policy listed anywhere nor could the staff provide one. We finally got checked in and got everything sorted out but not until the next day, when the manager arrived (after noon!). One other huge problem was the advertising and presentation. We booked a "premium" ocean view room, only to find out that we couldn't actually view the ocean. Well not without stretching over the balcony and craning your neck that is. We were informed by the manager that the only true ocean view rooms on the property were the ocean facing condos. She then allowed us to upgrade to one of those units at a discounted higher rate. She was very nice and friendly throughout this process, and the staff were all friendly, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. There are few amenities on the property despite the billing as a luxury resort. You'll have to ask for everything - extra towels, coffee, etc. There's a little shop (open until 10) to buy snacks and necessities but nowhere to go after hours. I was directed to go to the nearest gas station. The property is overall very pretty with an obvious effort to cultivate a laid back, beach bum vibe, but our whole experience has been frustrating and anything but laid back.
