The open-concept great room on the second floor is perfect to spend quality time watching a movie on the 65’ Smart TV, playing a game of pool, or soaking in the views of the surrounding pines. The large bay windows let in latural light & the natural wood floors are stunning. There is a stone encased fireplace & comfortable seating for 8.

This kitchen is unmatched with a full-size fridge & stand alone full-size freezer, stainless steel appliances, gas range, dishwasher & wine fridge. The kitchen island has a beautiful rustic wood finish & seats 4. When dinner is ready to be served the dining table is just steps away & seats 8.

If you prefer to dine al fresco there is a large back deck. Enjoy the gas BBQ & seating for 6.

With 5 bedrooms, there is room for the whole family! There are 2 master bedrooms, one on the ground floor & the other upstairs. The downstairs master bath has a single sink & large walk-in shower. The upstairs master bedroom has a gas fireplace, 55’ TV & an ensuite bathroom that boasts a jetted tub, large walk-in shower & double vanity. The kid’s room & the additional 2 rooms w/ queens share the upstairs &/or downstairs full bathrooms-both have shower/tub combos.

Pets: 1-2 dogs allowed w/ pre-approval; additional fee required. No other animals are allowed. Dogs are never allowed to be left unattended. Bring a crate if you plan to leave a dog unattended. Dogs are not allowed on furniture or in/on beds. Any barking or behavior that bothers neighbors is not allowed. You will be responsible for extra cleaning charges for hair on furniture, pet stains, dog droppings, & any damage caused by dog(s).

It was nice being able to cook meals with the available kitchen amenities for guests. Loved that they had dog amenities available too. Wish they had more fans throughtout home. They have a no shoes inside home policy which is nice but I could tell it is not followed often down stairs in the living area.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Enjoyed our stay at Blackfoot retreat. Everyone had plenty of room to relax. The kitchen was well stocked and great for cooking. Everyone enjoyed the pool table and relaxing sectional. Although the backyard is fenced it is just dirt and our dog would get too dirty if we let him out. There are also a few things that could be refreshed throughout the house. However, we understand it is a dog friendly rental. We enjoyed the location of the house and recommendations for restaurants etc. The property managers are great communicators and reply promptly.

This place is a great location and a nice set up of a house. The kitchen has everything you need. However, the couches and furniture are terribly uncomfortable. The sectional gave everyone in our group back pain and the beds were not much better. The linens and towels are sub par for a long vacation time and should be better quality for the price of this house. Overall I honestly wouldn’t recommend paying this price for this house.

House was great and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. It is a neighborhood but we felt like we were alone. Plenty of room for everyone except for the hide a bed couch. The cushions on it were filthy and when pulled out the bed was not in good condition - very uncomfortable to sleep on. The actual bedrooms were great. When the windows were open there was a lot of cobwebs on the sill. Would recommend adding ceiling fans in the living room, kitchen and in the bedrooms that did not have fans. We did have a great family vacation.

If/when we return to South Lake Tahoe, would definitely try and stay at this property again--clean and close (abt 15 minute drive) to most local attractions. 15min ride to Heavenly. RnR representatives were quick to respond to any and all inquiries before and during our stay. We had an issue with the coffee maker and RnR came and swapped it out for a new one the same day-top notch! Thank you RnR . Though we didn't bring our dog, this property is dog friendly which is pretty cool. Hot tub in the back was great

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: They house was big enough for our family of five, my mother-in-law, my parents and our dogs. The only problem is when we got there at check in time we couldn’t get into the house for about an hour and a half. The driveway was completely iced over and we couldn’t pull our cars in. We called the emergency line through the company and they sent someone out to break it up and clear it. That was disappointing, but the actual stay was great. The house is big and spacious, plenty of room for everyone. The backyard was amazing (Big enough for the dogs to run around and our kids to play in)

House nothing like advertised
*cover photo showed lush green grass, but grass was dead *dishes were dirty (dried food on plates and sticky substance on knife *upon walking in, there was melted chocolate or something under dining room chair that we had to clean up *hair all over bunk bed sheets in downstairs bedroom *deck table had cracked/missing tiles *deck spindles loose (total safety hazard) *vacuum upon use left a horrible stench in room *saw three mice in garage. One can assume they are in house *one roll of toilet paper per bathroom. We bought some and left the extra *one roll of paper towels for an entire week Overall, house was not what was depicted in pictures. I assure you, we left cleaner than when we found it. Very unsatisfied. I emailed RnR who said they’d waive cleaning fee. They offered to send someone over to fix deck as long as we were present and that they’d bring over new vacuum. We locked deck door and choose not to use it as we did not want to wait around for repairman while on vacation. All in all, very dissatisfied.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The snowstorm revealed a lot about the customer service. We got in the day before the snowstorm and things were great. Less than a day into the 4 night rental, we lost power and never got it back. We never anticipated having to be trapped in the home as the roads were not plowed thru to us until late the second night. The driveway was not plowed daily if over 6” of snow, as per the agreement, until after noon on day 3. We were able to get out and get supplies for our last night. The rental agency were initially responsive and as the storm conditions worsened, they became less so and only responded if we did not have issues to solve. They kept telling us to be patient but the home did not have flashlights or enough candles. If it were not for the gas stove, fireplaces, and water heater, we would have had to find other accommodations as the agency just left us to fend for ourselves. Very disappointed in their lack of good customer service. We understood they had others to deal with, but not responding to concerns and only responding to “happy” customers makes them fair-weather friends.
