The Timber Lodge is the Best Locatioj
The 2 bedroom villa was very convenient, right next to the gondola. It was clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything you need. I hope to stay here again next year!

Wonderful!
Great property, fantastic location, very easy check in and friendly, helpful staff. We went for a 5 day ski trip and being literally 20 steps from the Heavenly gondola, the location is unbeatable. The VRBO description is a bit vague and we found this vacation rental to be even better than we anticipated!

Very well appointed and clean property. Everything you would want in room - nice kitchen, fire place... Great (and warm) outdoor pool and hot tubs. Nice work out facility. Steps from Gondola (which no fault to owner often shuts down)

This property was nice, clean and very convenient- close to the gondola, shops and restaurants. The only issue was that the gondola was not running 2 out of 6 days due to high winds but the shuttle to California lodge was not too bad.

Great Location
You cannot find a better location to stay if you want to be in town and have access to the Gondola. Walking distance to restaurants, Starbucks, and shops. The only other nice option is the other Marriot property next door. Rooms are nice and as advertised. Pool and hot tubs are great. Check in and check out can potentially have long lines so plan accordingly. Staff was very helpful.

February Tahoe trip
Overall, we were satisfied with the unit and it's location. It was clean, reasonably close to the elevator, ski valet was a nice perk! A slightly better-equiped kitched would have been nice, given the fact that we ate in several days, as getting indoor seating at nearby restaurants was difficult at the times that everyone in our party agreed to eat.

Can’t beat the convenience of the Marriott Timber lodge
The convenience of being right in Heavenly Village and steps from the Gondola can’t be beat. We stayed in a 2 bedroom that sleeps 8. We had 8 for one night and four for the other nights. Eight is doable but cozy. The only issue i had was that the lodge is still not offering maid service so if you want a cleaning during the stay, that costs extra. We would probably stay here again for the convenience.

Great location and property
Stayed first week o January for 4 nights. Location can’t be beat if skiing in Heavenly, unless the Gondola isn’t running (which it didn’t the week we were there due to weather and power outages). Luckily we had a car to take the 10 minute ride to the California base lodge. Shuttle service from right next to property (1 minute walk) was also suspended a few times (again due to weather). Overall, this is a great place to be with all of the restaurants and shops on hand. We have stayed here many times in the past and also are Marriott owners. Only issue we had was the room had not been cleaned of trash before we arrived…had to throw it out ourselves as staff does not clean timeshare rooms. Still highly recommended staying here though.

Unbeatable Location, Terrific Customer Service
We are a family of 4 (2 adults, 10 and 8 year old) and the 2 bedroom unit was perfect for our needs — located immediately adjacent to the gondola, inclusive of valet parking, in-unit laundry, kitchen with pots, pans, servingware and Tupperware for us to bake muffins and cook a prime rib on Christmas with all the sides, ski valet right when you hop off the gondola, the list goes on and on. We checked in on the 24th at 11:30 am and it was a total breeze - no crowds, no delays, just stress-free and easy. The unit and common areas were clean although some parts show dating (showers clean but would benefit from updating, scuffed corners/chipped wood in units) but this is only if you are looking for issues. The beds were firm which we loved. We used the text service to request any items as well as our car when we needed it, all of which were taken care of by the hotel expeditiously. They were at capacity during our stay but it never felt overly crowded except around 10-12 pm and 3-5 pm on Sat/Sun when check-in and check-out was at its peak. It felt quiet in our unit and we never heard hallway noise. I saw several workers touching up and refurbishing the common areas while we were there. Some guests were ill mannered and left their bagged garbage and wet pool towels in the hallways but the majority of guests were respectful of the common areas and placed their refuse/towels as marked. Even when guests did not, the hotel staff made sure to clean frequently. Recommend!

Great Location but occupancy was incorrect
The Timber Lodge is always a great vacation spot. Its clean, centrally located and there is lots to do in the area. Unfortunately the listing was incorrect and rather than accommodating 8, our rooms could only sleep 7. Instead of 2 full size pull out beds, our room had one full size and one twin size. It would be beneficial to have the rooms specific details and photos for each listing, rather than a generic description for all 2 bedrooms at the Timber Lodge since all the room set ups can vary.

Family Ski Week
We had a great stay at the Timber Lodge. The convenience of everything was amazing. The gondola is so easy to get to and with the ski valet it was a breeze. The pool was heated and great, and the hot tubs were too but they got really crowded after skiing. We ate at a lot of the restaurants and loved Base Camp Pizza and Kalani's. The room was great too, we got a 2 bedroom which was perfect for our family of 5. The only thing I wish was different were the thin, rough blankets, as we all complained that there were no soft comforters. Overall, I would highly recommend this place.

Location, Location, Location
The lodge is at the base of the Gondola at Heavenly. Everything was so easy- dropping off car, checking in, ski storage etc. The listing was accurate and we enjoyed the property and used the fitness room. Guests respected the quiet time hours. Great Place!

Super convenient to the gondola
We loved our stay at the Timber Lodge. We were there with our three children ages seven, nine, and eleven. We loved the proximity to the gondola as well as all of the restaurants in the village. The ski check-in was also very convenient. The outdoor pool was tons of fun and the hot tubs were warm and relaxing. The line for the gondola can be extremely long. On the first day I think we waited for more than 30 minutes. So make sure to check before hand and if you see it wrapping around, have someone wait in line while the rest of your family catches up. The only complaint was that the room was not ready upon arrival. After a 5+ hour drive, it was disappointing that we had to wait for our room even after 530pm. I asked for a make good for the inconvenience so they offered a small credit at the village. However later they did not have record of it so we had to explain it all over again. Also note valet parking is free which was a huge bonus. And the little surprise gift from vacation candy was a nice touch.
