Could have been so nice....
I will never stay in a non owner-managed vrbo again. This property is managed by Vacasa. They don't really seem to care about the details when it comes to what makes a nice stay.
We arrived in the dark, and hard to use flashlights to find the back door and try to use the overly long (10-digit) door unlock code. The door lock continued to fail, and required a call to Vacasa to get the code for the key box. Strike one. If their cleaning staff had just checked this, they would have known it needed new batteries, and not left us outside in the dark fumbling with our luggage and flashlights trying to call Vacasa to get it.
The sent a maintenance person in the morning to fix the door lock. Daniel communicated via text and was easy to work with, but was not something we were at all excited about having to deal with during our stay.
Next BIG issue was simply cleanliness. EVERYTHING was covered in cobwebs. Indoors and out. We could barely enjoy the back deck since there were just so many cobwebs, everywhere. Fingerprints on the walls, holes in the walls from previous hangars just left open.
The dishes were dirty. We had to pre-wash every dish we used.
Biggest disappointment - We chose this property for the hot tub and isolated location. The hot tub was DISGUSTING. You couldn't even see the bottom of the hot tub through the milky water. SO GROSS.
Overall, we will be discussing with VRBO and Vacasa in detail about our stay. We were highly disappointed.
