Warm, welcoming and perched on a bank right on the sand, this 3 master-bedroom, 4 person home, with its large dining area and an amazing second-story crow's nest, is ready for your next vacation. You can whale-watch, soak in the sunset from the private hot tub, take a walk on the beach, or read a book next to a cozy fire. This place has it all with 3 master bedrooms that are beachside with amazing views and ensuite bathrooms. The home has two seating areas -- a living room with a natural burning fireplace and new couches,as well asa crow's nest that is open to the living room below. The kitchen is spacious and fully appointed with a large dining area that opens to the living room. Not to mention, all of the floors in the home have recently been replaced!
Ocean-side, sliding glass doors lead to your own private deck overlooking the ocean and easily accessible from the main story. Appointed with chairs and bbq, the deck is ready for you to enjoy the ocean breeze and salt air. The hot tub is tucked in off the side and a path with stairs leads directly to the beach. Pets are welcome for a $75 fee per pet (2 pets maximum). When you book, please let us know if you are bringing any pets so we can add this to your reservation.

When you book with us, a hold of $200 will be put on your card starting the day you arrive at our beach house until 7 days post departure. If all of the check-out items on the departure list are completed and no extra cleaning is required, the hold on your card will be released. Reminder: This functions not as a charge where the money ever leaves your account, but a pre-authorized amount by the cardholder that could be retrieved by OPI if extra cleaning was needed after your stay. The house had amazing views! The space was well laid out for a family. The property management company had a huge list of very specific tasks for us to complete before our 10:30 check out and threatened a fine if not completed which seemed a bit much considering we paid

Excellent stay!
The home was very clean with nice appliances, organized (drawers/cupboards labeled!) and well stocked with anything we needed. Towels, blankets, beds, bedding, furnishings, etc. were quality and higher end....which just added to the nice feel of the stay. The hot tub was super nice, clean and seems like new. The home was well maintained. One exception was the south upstairs bedroom windows which was "out of order" and could not be opened to cool the room w/out letting in traffic sounds by the other small roadside window. We like to watch movies at night and the living room TV is quite small, but it worked out ok. The home is a very convenient location for groceries, restaurants and other entertainment. The reason I gave 4-stars on "location/neighborhood" is because it is directly off of the highway and the traffic noise is noticeable if roadside windows are open. However, the amazing ocean sounds mostly drown it out. Commiunication with the host was excellent and helpful! It is a lovely home with amazing views everywhere in the home! We had a wonderful stay, thank you!!

Ocean views from every room!
The house is beautiful, with all the amenities we had hoped for. Our favorite “room” in the house was the crows nest…perfect for taking in the beauty of the ocean, whale watching, as well as reading, coffee in the morning or sampling glorious Oregon wines! Newport is charming and offers good food, is close to several day trips…and the most friendly people we have encountered while traveling, yet! The property manager was helpful and responsive. Our only wish was to have been able to stay for a longer visit.

More whales than we could count
We had a fabulous time at this home. There wasnt a single thing that we needed that wasn't there. We had a teen, tween and a dog, and there was plenty of.room for us all. The stunning viewa of the ocean from every room and deck were the best feature of all! Only thing we missed was a place to walk to for.coffee and whatnot. But the location was very convenient to drive to multiple beach spots, dining, grocery and entertainment. Never used the hot tub, but it looked like a great place to enjoy an evening dip with an glass of.wine and a beautiful sunset. We started counting whale spouts the first night, and also stopped the first night. It was a constant and fun to watch with binoculars. Thank you for sharing this lovely home so the rest of us can enjoy such a beautiful spot on the Oregon coast.

Best beach house ever!
I booked this beach house for my 50th birthday and had an amazing time, even with bad weather. They did not forget anything...whatever you need is there. We had such a good time we stayed an extra day. Thank you so much to Ocean Front Properties and Karissa for making our trip amazing. I cannot wait to come back.

Incredible experience
Absolutely magnificent. The house and property are well-maintained and the view to the front of the house is insane from every room. The beds and furniture were comfy, and the kitchen was awesome. Such a treat for everyone to have their own ensuite!!! Hot tub was faaaabulous. Only minor complaints: none of the windows could be opened - which was frustrating in the bedroom in particular, and the BBQ/recycling indicated in the listing weren’t available. Being out of country we weren’t able to take recycle with us so it all went in the garbage. :( Location gets 4 stars only because of the road noise, which is significant and constant 24/7. But none of that matters when you’re on that front patio….

We enjoyed our family get-away at Vanishing Sands very much. We've been staying at vacation homes on the Oregon coast for 3 years and this is one of the best. It's a beautiful home with nice furnishings, comfortable beds, everything you need in the kitchen. The view is gorgeous from all the main areas and all 3 bedrooms. Close proximity to the hywy did not bother us. We would definitely stay here again.

This was an amazing property! They had everything we needed for an incredible family vacation. As mentioned there is noise from the street, but once you settle in you don't notice it. The amenities and location more than make up for it. The way down to the beach seemed steep at first but was really no big deal and the walk down was fun. We'll be back!

Spacious getaway
The Vanishing sands was absolutely what we needed for our vacation. It is beautiful, stunning and has everything you need. Each bedroom has a queen bed, and its own bathroom, perfect for sharing space with family but not having to share bathrooms. Plus, there is another half bath near the kitchen area! Also, each bedroom did have its own smart TV so you can sign in to all of your streaming accounts. The views are stunning! Due to the time of year we visited, it was foggy 50% of the time, but still worth it to be able to look outside every window and see the gorgeous Oregon coast! The upstairs balcony was the family favorite, as you could wake up, bring your coffee upstairs and enjoy the views. My husband and I also found it to be the Ideal afternoon napping spot as well. The living area did have a small TV, but this did not phase us as we mainly wanted to enjoy each others company. The hot tub was truly a treat, as it was very roomy, clean and up to temperature. Sadly, the microwave did stop working during our stay, but we did inform the maintenance man so hopefully this was fixed for the next guests. The kitchen does have everything you need and is actually bigger than what the picture shows. All other appliances worked just fine! Yes it does have a washer and dryer which is always so nice to have while on vacation! It stayed mainly in the 70s during the day and 60s at night. The highway noise did not phase us hardly at all, especially with all the windows close.

Perfect perch above a gorgeous uncrowded beach
This property rests on a bluff above a wide and expansive stretch of sand between two state beaches. Each bedroom has a comfy queen bed and jaw-dropping views of the ocean. The big eat-in kitchen is well appointed and the living area has plenty of seating, which worked out perfectly for our birthday celebration with friends. That is to say, the photos on this listing are quite accurate. Two nits that weren't issues for us, but potentially might be for others. The house does sit directly on US-101 but no bedroom windows face the road (and few windows overall face east). Also, the trail to the beach is down an at-times steep and somewhat slippery dirt path, although you're not at risk for anything more than slipping onto your bum (i.e., you're not flying off a cliffside if you slip). There's easy beach access with parking at the two state beaches less than a mile north or south of the property. The property is pet friendly although the yard is unfenced.
