A little dated and basic in terms of decor and in need of some modernisation to fixtures and fittings -- the dishwasher was old and unreliable -- but we loved our holiday and would happily return to Oleron."

"Maison de pêcheur, nous avons passé un séjour agréable dans cette maison avec des petits enfants et un grand chien, le terrain est bien clos, idéal pour que les enfants puissent jouer en toute sécurité ainsi que le chien. Ce qui est appréciable est de pouvoir stationné le véhicule dans une cour juste à côté de l'entrée. Nous avons été très bien accueilli et conseillé, très bon séjour. Merci."

"A good base from which to explore the area. The shops and beach were within walking distance and we enjoyed lots of walks with the dog along the beachfront. "The property is located in a quiet residential street near to some local shops and about a mile on foot to the Vieux Port - a lovely tree lined stroll. The house is small but perfect for two people. We only used the ground floor - bedroom, shower, wc, kitchen and a nice sunny sitting room leading out into a small garden. NB Access to the basement accommodation is via very steep stairs. Only practical for the young and nimble! The house is a good base from which to explore the wonderful port town...

"We had a lovely stay here. The reception staff were really welcoming and helpful. I was a bit surprised because the room picture was of twin beds with space between, but it was made up as a double. I was travelling with my son, so ended up sleeping on the sofa bed, which was easy to pull out, had a bottom sheet already on and additional pillows etc were in the cupboard. The wall cupboards weee tricky for me, as I’m only 5’1” tall!! Fortunately my son is 6’ tall and was willing to reach things...
