"The hotel is situated in a perfect position when driving from the top to the bottom of Spain. However, although the rooms are clean they are very ‘tired’ and require some work.on this occasion we stayed in a different part of the hotel and the neighbours were very noisy, haven’t suffered from this problem before and have stayed many times."

"Stayed at the hotel enroute to France.Good stop over and dog friendly although did not provide water bowl etc.Reception were friendly and efficient.2 Restaurants close by but dogs not allowed inside which is a bit of a problem in winter as too cold to sit outside.The restaurant cafe next to fuel station does however provide take out food. Would recommend this hotel as a stop over, comfortable bed and nice hot shower."

"The hotel is an old castle high up above the valley - how fantastic is that? Wonderful character with plenty to wander around and explore. We would have enjoyed the views from the rooftop terrace had the weather been a bit warmer but we enjoyed looking around the hotel and relaxing with a drink in the main central room. There was no bar as such but drinks were available from reception and we had a great meal in the restaurant. Good service throughout our stay."

Fantastic hotel

"The hotel is an old castle high up above the valley - how fantastic is that? Wonderful character with plenty to wander around and explore. "A great find. Very characterful. Amazing rooms, excellent dinner, friendly bar, nice shop. Didn’t have time to make use of the spa. In small hamlet of a village with lots of rural pursuits around. We were only there overnight en route back to Bilbao. Would love to go back for a longer stay. "

"Beautiful building , good service at the front desk and the restaurant. However you get a sense you are getting into a government building with austere, tired decor. Room Bathrooms need remodeling I had dinner at the restaurant. The service was excellent however the food was subpar. The onion soup we ordered was lukewarm and tasteless. The medium rare steak we ordered was completely raw, we sent it back for further cooking. Overall I would give our experience a 7 out of 10. "
