Disappointing Vacation

Upon arrival, I was picked up at the airport and taken to a different hotel, not the one I had reserved. This was the first indication that my vacation would not be as I expected.The main office was closed by the time I arrived. I was placed in a small one-bedroom studio, significantly smaller than the room I had reserved. The following morning, I visited the main office to address this unacceptable oversight. The property management informed me that the host/owner had a requirement to secure the condo, ensuring it was not rented during the dates I had reserved. Clearly, this did not happen. I felt that a full refund for the entire stay was warranted, but since I agreed to stay, I compromised with the host to be refunded at least the difference between the two accommodations.Therefore, learn from my experience and verify that the owner or the host secures your condo before leaving for your destination.
