I always seem to miss the optimum time to capture sunsets and rises when traveling. Although, I like to think I managed to be in the right place at the right time with this one!

This is my kind of vacation,afternoon siesta under the coconut tree, view from the left are rice fields and to your right the beautiful beach. #myhometown

"This is the best hotel in Donsol! Lovely rooms, which were very clean and had a great outside seating area. The pool was in front of the rooms, with perfect view of the sea and sunset. There are also lots of hammocks, beds and other areas to sit including on the beach front. The restaurant was delicious with lots of options, including for vegetarians. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The hotel is about a 7 minute walk from the Whale Shark Centre which was also very helpful. I would...

"The place was good in the area though we weren’t able to see the whale shark due to the weather. It had a restaurant and pool in the vicinity. Staff were friendly and we were able to avail of the room massage. One thing for improvement perhaps will be the availability of the wifi in the rooms :)"

"The pool was dirty, the beach was covered in garbage. The room smelled bad and there were ants on the bed. We booked the room then decided to leave. Lost the cost of the room but didnt sleep with the ants. Went to the resort next door instead "

"Our family had a great stay at Siama Hotel. The bunk bed deluxe was perfect for our family of six. Place was perfect for quiet relaxation, away from the city. Pool was relaxing. My husband and I even had a great massage in the room. There is no TV and wifi in the rooms, except in the lobby where our kids mostly stayed around. Place was lovely. The only downside is the food. While food tastes great, they have limited choices, especially with kids around. "

"I really enjoyed the element of nature of the resort: resort dogs playing with the guests, a few chickens wandering, birds chirping, trees and plants aesthetically organized, the sound of the sea splashing on the shore, traditional Filipino-style hut-inspired bedrooms - makes for a comfortable and relaxing stay. My toddler enjoyed running around the vicinity as it is very spacious and homey. All the food in the restaurant is a must-try. "
