We decided to book this hotel for our summer holiday, mainly because of the advertised increased measures with regards to the COVID-19. Increased measures were supposed to be additional cleaning, disinfection, and cooked to order breakfast. Out of the 4 different hotels we stayed in (all in Italy) this was the only hotel serving a self-service buffet (despite being illegal). We addressed this to the manager, who showed little to no interest in changing. We were told they could provide us breakfast cooked to order, but either in the same over-crowded buffet room, or in our tiny hotel room. They had no menu to chose from. We addressed this many times, resulting in an heated argument with the manager at check-out, blaming us for not having addressed this to him (although we several times did). The hotel in general appears to be 2-3 star rather than 4 stars as stated on the website. Tiny rooms with old furniture, no minibar (the first 4 star hotel I have ever been to without a fridge for beverages), no towels for their swimming pool (we were told to go an buy towels). We even had to argue with the receptionist at 23.30 to be able to buy bottles of water for the room, as he told us the bar was closed.
On top of this, the hotel is 500-600 meters from the closest parking, with no luggage service. We had to carry all our luggage to the hotel. This is not a 4 start experience in my opinion. However, the hotel employes a couple of very service-minded and knowledgable staff members!
