Dogwood Flats - A cozy guest house in the oak trees!

Welcome to Dogwood Flats, a newly renovated 1 bedroom 1 bathroom guest house with a full kitchen. We are located approximately 3 miles south of the center of Sonoita in the oak trees, but don't worry, you will still be able to enjoy incredible views of the Santa Rita Mountains and the beautiful sunsets. The location of Dogwood Flats is the perfect base of operation, whether you are here to enjoy some hiking, bird watching, wine tasting, hunting, or time at the nearby lakes.

THE SPACE
A cozy one-bedroom (king), one-bathroom guest house with a full kitchen. The sofa does pull out into a bed for additional sleeping arrangements. The kitchen is stocked with essential equipment should you wish to cook a meal, and a propane grill is available on the patio. There is no TV; however, we do have wifi, so you can bring your laptop or tablet should you want to watch a little TV or a movie. If you want to unplug, there are several board games and decks of cards for your entertainment.

OTHER INFORMATION
The welcoming committee consists of our "puppy girl," Rinella, who is a ball-crazy border collie and our friendly barn cat, Skittles. The guest house does have a fenced-in yard to keep our animals out of the area during your stay. If you forsee any issues, please let us know immediately.

Note: We are pet-friendly and have $25 pet fee. We ask that you do not leave your pets in the yard or the house unattended unless they are kenneled.

Hosts reside in the main house located on the property and may be seen tending to the landscaping, feeding the animals, or grilling on their back patio. We love interacting with our guests but will not approach you out of courtesy for your comfort and privacy. But please feel free to say hi or stop us if you would like to chat about the local sights or the property itself. We can also be contacted through VRBO during your stay. Guest instructions are sent directly to guests prior to arrival.

Sweet guest house in Sonoita
Very cute little place with a very thoughtful host. Host had all kinds of thoughtful touches for us including local chips and salsa in the kitchen, homemade pound cake, and a bathroom stocked with extra toothbrushes, allergy meds and ibuprofen. The cupboards are stocked with board games and there's a very friendly Good Girl in the joint yard who is ready to be your new best friend and bring you her ball to throw.

Jessica and Jake provided an amazing marriage getaway experience. The property was clean, well stocked with the expected amenities, and very quiet and peaceful. Communication was great all along the way, and upon arrival. They even had an anniversary card and a bottle of wine waiting for us. Even being right next door, they gave us our privacy while at the same time very hospitable. Lovely couple and family. We will DEFINITELY recommend to our family and friends! The house was the perfect size for us for our anniversary weekend stay. We even received flowers and wine from the hosts! The updates were very nice and we enjoyed the electric fire place. A few of the windows don't have coverings but those windows mostly face trees. We threw the ball for the hosts dog a bit, which kept us entertained. Thank you!

Long weekend getaway
I booked an impromptu three night stay for me and my dog, and I’m so glad that I did. I was looking to get out of the city for some much needed down time and it was exactly what I needed. Jessica the homeowner is amazing. I booked the night before with very little notice and my reservation and check in was seamless. Local wine and snacks were a wonderful surprise. The guesthouse was clean with everything you could need, including plush towels that you don’t get at the hotel. There’s a fence around the guesthouse which was great for my dog who loves to spend every minute outdoors. It’s super close to Sonoita but still off the beaten path. The host family home is close but they give you your privacy but are also very friendly to chat with! We’ll be back soon!

Completely enjoyed my stay. Hosts were friendly and courteous. Cute home in beautiful area, felt very comfortable and welcomed. Cozy Home in a Peaceful Setting
My daughter and I booked this guest house as a home base during a weekend horse show. It was the perfect place to relax and get a good nights rest after the long days. The hosts were excellent, even going so far as to provide a basket of goodies that included snacks, a bottle of wine, and some delicious butter bread. It was also very clean, and the beds were comfortable. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Awesome hosts and great location for Wineries!!
This was an awesome stay especially how close the location is to the different Wineries that my girlfriend and I went to. The host Jessica was super awesome! She was so nice to provide delicious snacks and a bottle of wine during our stay! The tortilla chips and salsa really came in handy after a few glasses of wine. The sweetest part was she baked us a homemade pound cake that was delicious! Thank you so much for that Jessica, we tried to stay as quiet as we could and Jessica was totally cool with me bringing my Husky / Golden retriever. We are definitely staying here in the future because we had an awesome time checking out the Sonoita wineries and Vineyards. Thanks again Jessica and look forward to staying here again for our next trip down to the wineries. I would highly recommend staying here at dogwood flats if you’re planning on checking out the wineries and vineyards!
