The owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome and nothing is too much effort for them, even posting an item left behind in the room back to NSW. Definitely recommend this little gem for a true Tassie experience 😊"

"After a long drive from Strahan it was such a delight to get to our room at the Masden. Had a front room with a view of the water. The room was modern, clean and comfortable with some added extras like a spa bath and microwave. Easy access, lots of street parking and little cafes to eat at close by. "

"Very friendly staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Excellent value for money. Despite very clean ensuite there was a terrible smell presumably from the shower drain. Running wate and using exhaust fan didnt remove the odour. However, we would definitely stay at the Somerset Hotel again."

"The manager arranged assistance with bags, which was helpful. The place was roomy. A good stay. Better blinds to reduce morning light would be the only improvement suggestion."
