Thank you for looking into our unique townhome at Snowshoe, WV. We purchased our unit in March of 2021 and we are so excited to welcome you into our 6 bedroom / 4 bathroom mountain retreat located in Creekside Villas, near Silver Creek.

Once you pull into the private driveway outside the front door, you enter into our spacious mudroom with individual cubbies and plenty of space for all of your ski / biking gear, complete with two commercial-grade boot / glove dryers. There is a bathroom, washer / dryer, extra refrigerator and a GAME ROOM on this level. Go through the game room, the sliding glass door leads to the lower deck, where you can relax in the hot tub.

The main floor includes a comfortable living area with a gas fireplace and large screen TV. Go through the living room and you can enjoy gorgeous mountain views from the top deck. The main floor is where you will find the dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and a small bedroom with a twin bed.

The master bedroom is located on the top floor which has a king bed and a private bathroom with a big corner tub/shower. There are two more rooms on the top floor with a queen bed in each room and one bathroom in the hall.

Now, the newly finished basement: One queen bedroom with an exterior door to the bottom patio. The other side is the Bunk Room Extraordinaire that boasts five custom built-in bunks that sleeps 10!

The unit has a fully stocked kitchen and a pantry, you just provide the food!
This unit sleeps 19 people

The Snowshoe shuttle will pick you up from an enclosed, heated shuttle stop approximately 350 feet from our unit with free transportation to anywhere on the mountain.
We are backed up to the snow tubing park at Silver Creek, so you can easily walk to Silver Creek if you desire.

We are within walking distance to Silver Creek.

Two cars can park in the driveway, with another two cars behind them. If there is excessive snow pileup, it may not be possible to fit more than two vehicles in front of the unit. There is additional parking across the street.

Hanging out to ride motorcycles
Stayed here as a central location for riding motorcycles in the mountains of West Virginia. Very impressed with the property. Everything was clean and organized. The little extras, such as food seasonings and the "if you forgot something, please take one" bucket of toiletries showed a great attention to detail and forethought for the needs of guests. The owner was very quick to respond to any questions I had and was always friendly and polite in her replies. Going to have to plan a meetup here again sometime.

We really enjoyed our stay at Above the Ridge. It was perfect for two families (9 people total) with plenty of room to spare. It was close to the bus stop, silver creek and snow tubing. We would definitely stay here again. It was almost heaven!

Our family of 12 found this to be perfect for our stay! The ski room was great for keeping everyone’s gear organized. We enjoyed the hot tub, game room, and the fireplace! The kitchen had everything we needed to make a few meals. Communication with the host was easy, she was helpful and quick to respond. Highly recommend!

Annual Ski Trip
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here! There were 16 of us in our group and found the layout of the townhouse to be perfect for our needs. The bunk room was perfect for our kids/teens. The 4 couples shared the additional 4 bedrooms. The ski storage room is wonderful! We loved the cubbies so that no one’s stuff was getting mixed with others. The boot warmer/dryer is a bonus! The kids especially loved the game room with enough options to keep everyone entertained. The beds and pillows are super comfortable and we loved the plush bedding! Very cozy. The morning after we arrived, we discovered that the oven was not working properly. Nina and Brandon immediately came to the rescue! They drove up from Georgia with a brand new oven that very day! They also offered to treat us to pizza for our inconvenience. What amazing hosts to go so far out of their way to make sure that we enjoyed our stay! We will definitely be renting from them again!

Great location and spacious!
This property was the perfect place for our family of 12. The mudroom as you walk into the home had a great drop zone for all our ski clothes and equipment and helped keep order to everyone’s items throughout our stay. There was space in the home to accommodate everyone from kids to grandparents. And the ultimate bunk room downstairs was a big hit with the teens and pre-teens. There were several times we turned on the fireplace in the family room and watched the soft snowfall come down outside. Our group also enjoyed the hot tub on the back patio, even during those snow falls! The location was ideal with the shuttle stop just a short walk from the house, and we were able to easily access both Silver Creek and Snowshoe's Main Village. Nina was a wonderful host and proactively communicated with us along the way, anticipating all our needs. She even reached out to share information about special events happening in the area during our stay. We look forward to returning very soon!

Great place for a big crew!
We stayed for the World Cup MTB races and had a ball. This place is REALLY well thought out for a group. On a side note, it also had great access to riding trails from the front door, and although this was a "Ski" house, it worked super for bikes and bike gear too.

Great place to enjoy unless you’re playing golf at the Raven. Absolute worst staff ever. Chester and his staff are a disgrace and have no business sense. I would look to replace the whole staff. What a shame.

Just awesome!
What. A. Space! This 4 story townhome had it all. It was very well appointed and extraordinarily maintained. You can tell this home was furnished with love for her family but now rented out for others to enjoy. Such a cool space for families to relax and make happy memories in. Nina was an extremely responsive and informative host. I couldn’t recommend this rental more, especially for kids who love arcade games and parents who enjoy a fun, safe and utilitarian space to vacation with friends.

Great Rental
We really enjoyed this property! Plenty of room for everyone. The game room was a big hit. My favorite part was the giant ski storage/dressing room right inside the front door. Convenient to Silver Creek and the bus stop for Snowshoe.

Annual Christmas Vacation
We’ve have been coming to Snowshoe for a couple years now, but this was hands down the best location that we have rented so far. Literally walking distance to the tube park and Silver Creek. This property has a great set up with the kids room, game around, and hot tub. Extremely clean and felt like home away from home. I highly recommend renting this property for your future stays. Thank you again for allowing us to stay, you have a gorgeous home.

We had a great stay! I have stayed in several VRBO's lately and have come to find most of them just ok. They have basic services and are mostly clean. This property however was the exception! Very clean, terrifically apportioned and exactly as shown in the pictures. We were celebrating my son's 18th birthday and brought 7 of his friends. All 17 and 18 year old boys! The bunk room was perfect for them. The first floor ski lockers were terrific for all the gear and the extra fridge came in very handy. Can't say enough nice things about this place. Book and you will find out for yourself!

Absolute pleasure from booking to checkout!
First let me say this is a first time using VRBO and I am now a customer for life. I can only hope all property owners are as great as the Shirley's. Nina was instrumental in helping me with the planning. We had 13 guys on a 5 day motorcycle trip through WV. Nina even sent me areas to tour while we were there. The description on the VRBO sight was spot on and everyone was very comfortable. We got rained out on Saturday and had plenty to do to keep ourselves occupied. I highly recommend this property and owner! Please do not hesitate to rent! 5 stars all the way around!!!

The details are great!
Hi Nina, we absolutely loved the house. I will try and list off some things that really stuck out. For example The bar with stools in the living room was a very smart use of space and gave lots of seating for the common area. The boot drying rack in the ski equipment area was so awesome. We have never seen that before! All the motion sensor lights were very handy for moving around in the dark. The hot tub cover was very easy to operate and remove because of the spring arms that helped lower and lift it. Again I have never seen that touch before in any rental. Since this was a ski trip we tried as much as possible to be out of the house, however, you guys made it so comfortable and enjoyable we found it hard to leave everyday. Thank you so much for letting us stay here. We would absolutely love to come and stay here again the next time we visit snowshoe.

Good value and location
We stayed here with 13 adults/young adults and were more than comfortable. Nice big ski equipment room with drying racks. Extra fridge. Great bunk room where the teenagers stayed most of the time. It’s pretty close to some lifts. Maybe 3 blocks. 1 block to the bus stop to get to the main ski area. Pretty close to a brewery with really good food (maybe half a mile…could almost walk it but not really a sidewalk). Overall, a very nice rental.
