"Lovely hotel the staff were amazing especially Phil behind the bar although the hotel is being refurbished it caused the minimum inconvenience however if you have mobility issues at the moment the lift is not in service so bear that in mind when booking "

"Absolutely stunning hotel in beautiful grounds with the most amazing views. My dog had a lovely time walking around the gardens . The breakfast was great and the evening meal was delicious. The staff were really friendly, helpful and very welcoming. Hardly noticed the current building works and would reccommend to anyone. "

"The service provided by the local team at Gisborough Hall was of the highest order, but more important was the fact that staff were always cheerful and displayed a positive demeanour which is so sadly lacking in many hotels and restaurants in this country today. "Unfortunately not a perfect stay which was very disappointing with it being my husband’s birthday, booked through Hotels.com so not allowed to use the pool unless we paid £45 each, I have never heard of this before.The rooms are very nice but paying £5 for nut or crisps is ridiculous. The breakfast was very underwhelming with minimal choice, awful cold poached eggs, cold plates, weak coffee, all left me feeling very sick! Not worth £291 for one night. "

"All around magnificent piece of architecture. Brilliant staff, very helpful and pleasant. For the price I paid, the room itself was great. The place could do with a bit of redecoration but I really liked the atmosphere of the hotel overall."

"Great location on the edge of the town to walk the dogs to the beach and beyond. Breakfast nice, but pricey. Loved the dog showers/towels made available for when you get back from a muddy/sandy walk. Also, the free coffee and cake which was welcome after a long walk. Hotel was really warm, so had the window open most of the night which then subjects you to some road/seagull noise."
