Large Secluded Cabin on the Lake - NOW SLEEPS 10

This beautiful log cabin sits beside East Pond in Smithfield Maine. With direct access to the lake, you can hit the lake first thing in the morning and play all day. Or, stick closer to home and drop a line off the dock for some good old-fashioned fishing. Swimming, boating, fishing, or relaxing in the sun, however you like to relax, we have it here at Fish Upon A Star Cabins.

The Central Maine area also offers so many opportunities for indoor and outdoor fun. The cabin is centrally located to Augusta, Waterville, Skowhegan and Belgrade Lakes so you can discover all our area has to offer!

This two floor cabin boasts 4 cozy but spacious bedrooms, a large kitchen, spacious sitting room and dining room with seating for 10. The wrap around screened-in porch includes two seating areas for chatting the evening away and a dining table for meals or for family game nights.

In the warmer months, you will find a gas grill and a charcoal grill, two outdoor seating areas and a dining table. The lake side seating area circles a firepit, looking out over the private dock and swimming area. Kayaks, a canoe and pfd's are available for you to get out onto beautiful East Pond for a day of sightseeing and sunshine. Boat rentals are also available for longer excursions.

Relaxation Paradise

Beautiful Cabin in a beautiful setting!
We celebrated our granddaughter's 1st birthday at the cabin. The cabin is beautiful, tastefully decorated and was thoughtfully stocked for our stay. We enjoyed time at the lake, even a little canoeing and smores! We would definitely come back.

I don't even know where to start but everything was perfect. Spacious living area, family friendly environment just overall great experience. We had 3 generations and our babysitter and everyone had a great time. The kitchen had everything we needed, the host was very responsive to any and all questions and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

Great host. The photos don't do this property justice. Beautifully decorated and amazing views from every room of the house. The host lives next door and is very accommodating to all your needs, and answers any questions promptly. Would love to stay in the summer, wish they allowed dogs. Overall a 10/10.

The beautifully decorated log home on the water and our Host deserve 10 stars! From the minute we arrived until the moment we left we had a fabulous vacation. Perfect family house
Our entire family enjoyed our time there, both on and off the water. The only drawback was the really shallow boat ramp. It was difficult to both launch and load the boat without having to wade waist deep in the water. The house was great, we really enjoyed the ample porches!

Perfect winter vacation
We had an amazing experience at this rental. The cabin was warm and inviting. Communication was excellent, any issues were immediately or proactively addressed. It was the perfect home base for nearby excursions including; downhill skiing at Titcomb, cross country skiing at Quarry Rd, and Somerset SnowFest. It was also a great space to relax and enjoy family time.

Terrific Vacation on East Pond
Our family of eight ranging from ages 11/2 to 72 all enjoyed ourselves. We swam, canoed, fished, and relaxed with privacy at this beautiful spot on East Pond. We also enjoyed our time indoors cooking in the well equipped kitchen and keeping the grandchildren happy with the quality toys and books provided. Because the cabin exceeded our expectations in so many ways we all decided to return for another week next year!

Peaceful Retreat
A beautiful cabin that was very well appointed. My family of nine had plenty of space and everything we needed for a fabulous vacation at the lake. Our young grandkids enjoyed the indoor and outdoor toys and the adults enjoyed using the canoe and kayaks. Communication with the host was great. I would love to visit again one day.

Wonderful vacation!
This property is beautiful! Hosts are wonderful and have great communication prior and throughout visit as needed. The house was well stocked and very clean upon arrival. We loved relaxing nights by the fire pit and sunny days playing in the lake. The screened porch was such a plus when we had a rainy day. Bedrooms are roomy and allow everyone to have private space. Absolutely loved our week here and would love to come back!

This cabin was just like the pictures and more. The inside was so comfortable and even though the weekend was a little chilly, the wood burning stove warmed up the whole house. Best of all was the kitchen just beautiful. Everything you could need except food was there. Area by the pond was gorgeous, we had an opportunity to make s’mores. I would highly recommend this place.

Very relaxing, quiet, comfortable, beautiful place to stay on the lake. We had a great time and caught lots of fish. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Camp is well equipped, very clean, and beautifully decorated. The screened porch is a big plus in the Maine woods, my favorite place for a morning cup of coffee and to share fishing stories at the end of the day. Just kick back, relax, and listen to the loons!!

Beautiful camp
We had a wonderful time at this camp on East Pond. The house was beautiful and clean. Communication and check in was easy. The property was private and on a nice quiet spot on the lake. We had two small children and the house was well equipped for kids with toys and blackout curtains. Our 4 year old had a blast swimming off the dock. We were able to rent a boat from the host which was fun too. Definitely a great find, we loved calling this spot home for 2 weeks and would return!

Kids ice fishing heaven
We had an amazing stay. My husband and I with our 3 kids (ages 11-13)and my parents loved this beautiful cabin with all the special touches and plenty of space. We spent three full days out on the ice and each day we caught different kinds of fish: pickerel, crappie, small mouth bass,large mouth bass, white perch and yellow perch. Tons of flags and we had so much fun. In the evenings we had plenty of space for the 7 of us to have dinner together and sit by the fireplace to warm up. The kids loved the extra hot cocoa they had for us too ! The king bed upstairs was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, I referred to it as going to sleep on the cloud haha. We could not have been more pleased with our stay.

Quiet and private setting
This home is fully furnished and lacks nothing. The beds are comfortable, linens and towels clean and not worn/frayed/stained. Kitchenware was in newer condition. The lake is a beautiful setting. Although it is in a wooded area, the property is sprayed early in season and was not an issue. GPS took us right to address. Amy was a terrific host. I actually left my personal salt and pepper mill behind as another guest tucked it away in a cupboard and I missed it when packing. Amy was prompt to package it quite well and mail it back to VT rather quickly! Thank you for providing a special place for a great get-away!

The perfect Maine lake getaway!
We loved all the details the hosts thought through to make this home so comfortable for our week long stay. The kids loved the floating dock and all the fishing. The shaded fire pit area is the perfect place to sit by the lake and stay cool. And the short walk back to the house through the enchanted woods made it that much more special. We cooked many meals in the large, very well appointed kitchen and had lots of space. On the rainy days we didn’t mind as we had the huge porch to play games and comfortably read books while overlooking the lake. Don’t hesitate to book - I’d give it 10 stars if they had it as an option!

From the first step into the house it was Wow the temperature was so comfortable, to the cleanliness. Possibly one of the cleanest places I believe we ever rented inside and out. Everything was more than well equipped it was orderly and so very neat, with a relaxing decor that welcomed you right in. When the weather cooperated the kids had a blast swimming and tubing. The boat launch was easy to find, the boat tied nicely to the dock which made great access to some pretty amazing fishing for my dedicated anglers, no one ever came back disappointed. The wildlife was beautiful and abundant, deer that grazed a stones throw away to rabbits. One little rabbit that visited daily that may have been more domestic than wild, to the enchanting serenades of the loons at night. There was pleanty of seating from inside the house, to the screened in porch and around the fire pit by the water. There was plenty to keep us entertained rain or shine in that little bit of heaven nestled in the pines!!! Also The Tri Pond variety was not too far if you needed just about anything in a pinch, like steamed lobsters one rainy day that they even cooked for us. Amy was easy to get a hold of she answered asap! But honestly we didn't want for anything. Check in and check out was a breeze. We all enjoyed our stay so very much and we sure hope to return again next year! Simply Awesome Thank you Gino and Sandra
