"We booked the cottage last minute on our way to the east coast after our previously booked lodging cancelled. The owner was quick to respond and the property worked perfect for our needs. It was a nice place to relax for the evening and get some sleep before we got back on the road. The kennel was also great for the dogs after a long day in the car! We did note there is one panel shorter than the rest right along the dog house structure. We were only there for one night and didn't look around...

"Impressive carpentry throughout, from the log walls to the stump supporting the kitchen table. A great fireplace and a big living room space in front of it. Beds are very comfortable, the towels fluffy, and the kitchen adequate, if a little tight if too many people gather there. Fresh snow made the property appropriately magical on the days before Christmas. The long, snow-covered driveway, although flat, was a bit of a driving test in the dark."

"What a lovely house! The 3 of us came in just to visit Punxsutawney and fell in love with Smicksburg! We enjoyed our stay here so much and would definitely return. The check in was simple and parking in the back worked out great. The kitchen is enormous, stocked with plenty of utensils/dishes, soap, plastic wrap, salt/pepper shakers. There aren't many restaurants in the area, so making full use out of the kitchen was very helpful. In addition, there was a cute little coffee/tea setup, full water...

"Arrived to an amazing country living house. The views of the fields, pond and tranquility are outstanding. Perfect location to visist with all my relatives that live in the area. Bedrooms and bathrooms are very spacious. Cute little kitchen. Loved having a washer and dryer to keep up with dirty clothes. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend this place for anyone. Thanks to the property owner for making us feel at home."
