"This is a great place to stay and steeped in history. We also ate here which was convenient and good value. Thus is dog friendly allowing us to eat both dinner and breakfast with dog present. I was able to charge my EV with ease while parking in a secure car park."

"Very good for the price, room was clean and comfortable and a reasonable size with a decent shower. Host was friendly and provided a good cooked breakfast in the morning. Can't comment on parking as I was travelling by train, but would happily stay here again."

Staff were fantastic, in particular Shanice who checked us in and answered all our questions about our short visit to the city, and was very friendly. "We stayed here cycling the C2C; they couldn’t have been more helpful to store the bikes even though they didn’t have much room. The water pressure in the shower is amazing. Nice pub."
