Mountain Play Chalet is your new favorite starting point for all the best North Cascades and Stevens Pass recreation! This charming A-frame was completely remodeled and furnished in 2018 specifically to accommodate our guests, ensuring a comfortable and care-free stay any time of year. Just 15 minutes west of the Stevens Pass Mountain Resort, this is one of the closest nightly rentals to their ski and snowboarding slopes, hiking and downhill bike trails. Amazing hikes, snowshoe trails, waterfalls, and more are all just minutes away- so come and play!

Perfect weekend getaway
We stayed at Mountain Play Chalet so we could ski at Stevens. Perfect location and the amenities were great! We especially love the cozy wood burning fireplace and the hot tub. We will definitely stay here again!

Perfect ski chalet
My girlfriend and I stayed here for two nights while skiiing. It was the perfect, cozy chalet to come back to after a day on the slopes. The hot tub was awesome, and watching movies with a fire going in the woodstove was the perfect end to each day.

Hideaway
Great hideaway in the woods 15 min from Stevens Pass. Spacious kitchen and full fridge. A-frame makes the sleeping quarters a little tight but it was perfect for our needs. Hot tub was great after skiing! Movies were a nice bonus.

Perfect home-base for winter activities
We loved our stay here! So cozy, really fit the mood for a winter adventure in the mountains! Well stocked and equipped with everything you’ll need to cook meals and enjoy the atmosphere. We skiied up at Stevens Pass and this location was just perfect in terms of proximity.

Nice cabin, I brought extra firewood based on a prior review but there is a huge shed right next to the hot tub stacked with seasoned hardwood. BYOB for the outdoor fire pit.

So clean, so comfy, so cozy. Plenty of kitchenware to help us stay in, cook plenty, soak in the hot tub, and sleep soundly. All we really wanted for our anniversary.

Cozy Cabin Getaway
The Mountain Play Chalet was great for a couples' weekend getaway! The house was clean, nicely furnished and well stocked with everything you needed to prepare meals. The hot tub was relaxing after exploring some nearby hikes and the DVD collection and fireplace made for cozy evenings on the couch. The only downside to this rental is that it shares a driveway with multiple homes so it's not as secluded as it looks in the photos.

Escape from the city
A most magical place to celebrate my wife’s 40th birthday. A peaceful place amongst the trees where train whistles and rushing waters help remind us that there’s more to life than the city scape.

I can’t say enough about this property! My husband & I love the outdoors and this was right smack in the middle of some pretty amazing hikes. The cabin had everything we needed to cook meals, unwind, and reconnect. I can say without a doubt that we will be back.

Excellent location. About an hour from Leavenworth and close to lots of trails. Hot tub was nice after a long day. Cabin is cozy and had everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable. Stairs to upstairs are a spiral metal staircase to maximize room in the cabin. If you have accessibility issues this may be hard to get upstairs to the beds.

It was great to be so close to the river and we loved having the jacuzzi available which was clearly well taken care of. It felt fairly private but is still very close to the neighboring property, so if people are out and about you should know that you might be visible to others while being in the jacuzzi. Another thing to note is the loft where the bedroom is can feel a bit claustrophobic if you're sensitive to that sort of thing! Overall a great stay though, and would come back again!

Perfect cosy and quiet weekend away from it all
The cabin is situated far enough from the highway that you don't really hear road noise and we didn't mind hearing the train that runs through the area- kind of added to the experience and made it better. The place is set up in such a way it manages to make efficient use of all the available space despite the small size. We could have stayed a whole week here and been happy. It was super clean and well stocked. Thanks for helping give us the perfect anniversary get-away. Highly recommended!

Great place, terrific owner/host. Property management co needs a little tuning up.
It was a wonderful cabin and a perfect location but there were just a few things that the property management company needs to check more regularly. Some of the pages were missing from the orientation book, some of the toiletries were missing, the propane in the grill was empty… Small things that could be taken care of through careful property management. Luckily the owner was nearby and after a few phone calls was able to get us sorted.

Lovely Tiny Cabin
The Mountain Chalet is a great way to unplug for a single, couple, friends, or small family. It is very clean and has a lovely ambience. In the space there is a little cozy TV area with a wood burning stove. There are DVDs to watch and a little table area nearby. Outside there is a clean hot tub to enjoy. A spiral staircase takes you to a little sleeping area upstairs. The kitchen area is so cute and has all that you need to cook. There is a refrig/freezer and it is a good idea to bring your meals and snacks as there is just a small gas station store nearby. The bathroom is lovely and there is even a stackable washer/dryer in there too. I love how Beth ad Bud use all eco-friendly products and you can see eco touches throughout the house. There is also a bin for recycling too. The ski slopes (Stevens Pass) are only about 20 minutes away. This year they are limiting numbers so Beth gave me a great tip of getting a reservation ahead of time. Beth and Bud are very helpful and respond quickly to emails and texts. Near the cabin you can easily go walking or hiking. There are also trailheads you can drive to in a few minutes, and there is Deception Falls nearby to see a waterfall and go on a short little hike. This little cabin is so cozy and relaxing with the pretty indoor space.
