"Beautiful home with all the extra touches (paper products, hand soap, shampoo, etc.) provided in a very quiet setting. We enjoyed the back porch and the fire pit. A couple of things to be aware of: the road leading up to the home is gravel (well maintained), the walk to the dock is about 1/5 of a mile on somewhat uneven ground, and the stairs going into the basement are steep and unfinished. "We really enjoyed our stay. We fished from the dock and out on Kerr Lake from our boat. We saw herons and other waterfowl in Sunset Cove while paddling in kayaks (provided by the hosts). We toured different parts of the lake on our boat on dry days. We really enjoyed the beautiful sunsets down by the dock (and enjoyed the quiet, too.) Cooler damp evenings kept us indoors to watch TV shows - we never used the hot tub or the gas grill! We roasted marshmallows in the fire pit our last night there!...

"The property was well equipped and the golf cart was very handy. We had a great time and made an adventure out of having to walk (or swim) in thigh to waist deep water just to get to the dock. This was clearly not the owners fault, just an issue with the location. Could be cleaner and some maintenance issues could have been taken care of. Overall we had a lot of fun. "
