"Room was clean and comfortable. Only negative was for being off season, all occupied rooms were at one end, close to the highway so heard traffic, smokers (incl pot) talking outside close to our door, and walls are not very sound proof, incl clomping across the floor. Was Ok for 2 nights but also ..."

Great spot!
"Great location to serve as a home base for day trips in the Algoma district. House was clean and host provided several nice welcome gifts. Aubrey Falls on the Mississagi River and Boom Camp trails in Blind River were great."

Popular places to visit

Stopped overnight at this campground in Lake Superior National Park. Nearest town of any consequence is Wawa and that is some distance away. The place felt gloriously remote although it is just off the Trans-Canada Highway. This I believe is Rabbit Blanket Lake and nearby is the South Old Woman River. Apart from being very beautiful you just have to love the names! #GreatOutdoors

Chippewa Falls. I've hiked here quite sometime ago and it was incredible to see it again and managed to take a picture from the bus. This is a great area for hiking but remember to be bear aware as well as keeping an eye out for coyotes and wolves.
