"The views of the fields leading to the ocean are unmatched. It is quiet and dark, if you have a private room. I would pay the extra money for the quiet and relaxed location. We stayed at another hotel in town on the way back and it was not as restful(intense bright lights all night, noise in the morning and we didn’t get the bed we had requested). The town hotels had breakfast included but I would spend my money on the barn and still make my own breakfast in the communal kitchen or grab a few...

"We enjoyed Skogar hostel! We arrived late after a hike and left early before a long commute to another glacier hike. The staff member checking us in was very friendly, the beds were more comfortable than we anticipated, and the kitchen was well equipped. There was an issue with one of the showers not properly functioning (no hot water and the faucet was wonky), but the other two of us showered fine. It is noteworthy that guests must strip their own linen in the morning and put them into laundry...

"Great place! Great location! Grocery right across the street. Several Food options! Would definitely stay again. They don’t respond through the hotels.com app but when I called they were great. My only complaint. No controls for bathroom floor radiant heat. Or we couldn’t figure it out. It was a sauna in there. Very uncomfortable. "
