About Trailhead Hideaway’s space
Trailhead Hideaway is fully equipped to be your home away from home. The gourmet kitchen has stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, plenty of cookware and serviceware. Enjoy your meals together around the large dining room table, or take it to the back patio for an epic barbecue.
The first floor features wide open spaces with soaring vaulted ceilings. The great room’s leather couches are a comfortable place to relax while you recount the day’s activities and enjoy the warmth of the gas fireplace. The large, live-edge wood dining table comfortably will seat 10 and with the nearby breakfast nook that seats 5 your whole group could enjoy a meal together. On the main floor you’ll also find the Red Stove room. This cozy retreat has a vintage Vermont Cast wood stove that will warm you up after a day on the slopes.
With five bedrooms and 3 full baths, there’s space to comfortably accommodate 14 people. The primary bedroom is on the second level and features a king bed, smart TV, a remote workstation, huge walk-in closet and an en suite bath with luxurious soaker tub and walk-in shower.
On the first level off the living room, the second bedroom offers a king bed and a sleeper sofa, walk-in closet, library of classic and kids’ books, window seat and a smart TV.
The third bedroom has a comfortable queen bed and large closet. Bedrooms 2 and 3 are connected by and share the large Jack and Jill bathroom.
The bunk room can be found in the west wing of the home on the main floor and has two sets of full over full (double) size bunk beds, large closet and ceiling fan.
Bedroom #5 is located up the spiral staircase and directly off the media room. It has a twin over full bunk bed. This room can also be accessed from the “secret” back stairway from the garage.
The 2nd floor media room is accessed via the spiral stairway. You can recline on the leather sofa while watching your favorite streaming channels (Netflix, Hulu, Prime, etc.) on the large 65” smart TV.
Up the main stairway and tucked in a quiet corner is the game loft. This private space is where you can chill in the gigantic bean bags with a book or play games on the card table. We have a large selection of board and family games to choose from. There is also a sleeper sofa if you need another bed.
The outdoor amenities are just as spectacular, with a large deck offering Adirondack chairs to kick back and watch the deer stroll by. Seriously, if you don’t see deer during your visit, we will be disappointed. The 1.4-acre yard is full of mature Ponderosa pine trees that the neighborhood gray squirrels call home. There’s room to practice your yoga on the back patio or, when night comes, take in the clear skies full of brilliant constellations.
Getting to Know Sisters
While Trailhead Hideway will feel just the right amount of secluded, you’re still only 3 miles away from town. The charming town of Sisters has plenty of options for dining, shopping, bar-hopping, bakeries, galleries and quaint coffee shops. In the spring and summer months, a farmers’ market supplies fresh local fruits and vegetables. Sisters really is the quintessential small town.
There is horseback riding at Black Butte Ranch, less than 15 minutes away. The beautiful Metolious River and Camp Sherman is a short drive away and offers world class fly fishing. The Deschutes National Forest is literally out the back door from the home, with the Three Sisters and Mt. Washington Wilderness areas only a 30 minute drive away. If you’re visiting in summer, Aspen lakes golf course, with its unique red sand traps, is only 9 minutes away. A multitude of outdoor activities await you!
The neighborhood is a wonderful place to walk or bike. There are plenty of hiking/biking trails, starting by walking straight out the back door, or walking to the end of the street. Bend is a 25-minute drive away. Mt. Batchelor ski area is a 60-minute drive, and the Cascade Lakes Highway with multiple outdoor options is also about 60-minutes away. The Hoodoo ski area is a 25-minute drive from the house. We are a 30-minute drive from Redmond airport.
Trailhead Hideaway is the ideal homebase for exploring the vast beauty of this special place! We hope to see you soon.
