About Trailhead Hideaway’s space
Trailhead Hideaway is fully equipped to be your home away from home. The gourmet kitchen has stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, plenty of cookware and serviceware. Enjoy your meals together around the large dining room table, or take it to the back patio for an epic barbecue.

The first floor features wide open spaces with soaring vaulted ceilings. The great room’s leather couches are a comfortable place to relax while you recount the day’s activities and enjoy the warmth of the gas fireplace. The large, live-edge wood dining table comfortably will seat 10 and with the nearby breakfast nook that seats 5 your whole group could enjoy a meal together. On the main floor you’ll also find the Red Stove room. This cozy retreat has a vintage Vermont Cast wood stove that will warm you up after a day on the slopes.

With five bedrooms and 3 full baths, there’s space to comfortably accommodate 14 people. The primary bedroom is on the second level and features a king bed, smart TV, a remote workstation, huge walk-in closet and an en suite bath with luxurious soaker tub and walk-in shower.

On the first level off the living room, the second bedroom offers a king bed and a sleeper sofa, walk-in closet, library of classic and kids’ books, window seat and a smart TV.
The third bedroom has a comfortable queen bed and large closet. Bedrooms 2 and 3 are connected by and share the large Jack and Jill bathroom.

The bunk room can be found in the west wing of the home on the main floor and has two sets of full over full (double) size bunk beds, large closet and ceiling fan.
Bedroom #5 is located up the spiral staircase and directly off the media room. It has a twin over full bunk bed. This room can also be accessed from the “secret” back stairway from the garage.

The 2nd floor media room is accessed via the spiral stairway. You can recline on the leather sofa while watching your favorite streaming channels (Netflix, Hulu, Prime, etc.) on the large 65” smart TV.

Up the main stairway and tucked in a quiet corner is the game loft. This private space is where you can chill in the gigantic bean bags with a book or play games on the card table. We have a large selection of board and family games to choose from. There is also a sleeper sofa if you need another bed.

The outdoor amenities are just as spectacular, with a large deck offering Adirondack chairs to kick back and watch the deer stroll by. Seriously, if you don’t see deer during your visit, we will be disappointed. The 1.4-acre yard is full of mature Ponderosa pine trees that the neighborhood gray squirrels call home. There’s room to practice your yoga on the back patio or, when night comes, take in the clear skies full of brilliant constellations.

Getting to Know Sisters
While Trailhead Hideway will feel just the right amount of secluded, you’re still only 3 miles away from town. The charming town of Sisters has plenty of options for dining, shopping, bar-hopping, bakeries, galleries and quaint coffee shops. In the spring and summer months, a farmers’ market supplies fresh local fruits and vegetables. Sisters really is the quintessential small town.

There is horseback riding at Black Butte Ranch, less than 15 minutes away. The beautiful Metolious River and Camp Sherman is a short drive away and offers world class fly fishing. The Deschutes National Forest is literally out the back door from the home, with the Three Sisters and Mt. Washington Wilderness areas only a 30 minute drive away. If you’re visiting in summer, Aspen lakes golf course, with its unique red sand traps, is only 9 minutes away. A multitude of outdoor activities await you!

The neighborhood is a wonderful place to walk or bike. There are plenty of hiking/biking trails, starting by walking straight out the back door, or walking to the end of the street. Bend is a 25-minute drive away. Mt. Batchelor ski area is a 60-minute drive, and the Cascade Lakes Highway with multiple outdoor options is also about 60-minutes away. The Hoodoo ski area is a 25-minute drive from the house. We are a 30-minute drive from Redmond airport.

Trailhead Hideaway is the ideal homebase for exploring the vast beauty of this special place! We hope to see you soon.

The Small Print

Great family house
Perfect for our family reunion. Well stocked kitchen and house. Upstairs bedrooms were a little warm at night for some … but over head fans helped keep all but one person happy. I would rent this house again.

Wow!!!!!! Great find!
This was an amazing find. A very clean, well provisioned, and nicely located house. We had 13 people and it never felt crowded. Everything worked perfectly. The house is very well maintained and equipped. The house was very well stocked with towels, linens, utensils and dishware. Too many owners skimp on outfitting their properties for rentals. NOT this owner. It was by far the best prepared short term rental we have used and we travel quite a bit and use short term rentals frequently, so that is saying something. The location was great for being slightly secluded yet close to all the activities we wanted. If we are ever traveling to Sisters again we would definitely stay at this house again!

Wedding Weekend
The house was very large, and had enough bedrooms to accommodate all of our group. All the essentials are there, and then some! It was great. Contact with the host was great, we were even offered early check in and late check out, which was very nice. Even though it does state they have security cameras on the property (which is a good idea) We didn't like the fact that one of them is aimed right into the kitchen, which is also the window with NO blind on it, so that didnt feel very private. We would love to stay at this house again.

Beautiful open house
The house was well equipped with everything we needed. Very clean when we walked in. Beds were extremely comfortable. Lots of games, toys and books for all ages. Was concerned about the spiral staircase. There was a gap at the top for a child or small adult to fall through and was unstable when walking up and down. We had to message the owner about something and within minutes they called me. Great communication! Trails right behind the house was very convenient for our everyday hikes. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it.

We couldn't imagine a more perfect far away home for our extended family to gather than Trailhead Hideaway. After filling our days exploring nature and visiting the many local shops, staying at this home was the highlight of our trip! There is so much space for guests of all ages to retreat and decompress whether it be in a cozy nook or on a comfy couch in the core of the home. You can see and feel the thoughtfulness behind every functional and decorative detail. Though our family gatherings are few and far between, we were left with lasting memories we will cherish for a lifetime. We were all sad to see Trailhead Hideaway in our rearview mirror after our wonderful stay!

50th Reunion!
Seven of us, who met in college, got together for a 50th anniversary gathering. We loved the big kitchen, big table, plenty of seating in the living room, and comfy beds (plenty of them, too! We had an issue with the septic tank, I called the owner who got right on it and kept us up to date on what was happening. The house was a great home base for our day trips to the spa and ice cream in town, a trip to Bend, and to Smith Rock. If there is a negative, it is that our google maps got us lost (I blame the app, not us!) but we did find our way home!

We loved our stay! The house was very big and had plenty of places to sleep. The property is ideal for people who love to be outside. Our kids had a blast! Our only suggestion is to use fragrance free laundry soap on the bedding. Our family is very sensitive to synthetic smells. It was a wonderful place to disconnect and reconnect! Thank you!

Perfect spot to spend Christmas with family and snow
This property was everything as described. Plenty of space for all eleven of us. The kids loved the bunks and the media room to watch movies. The adults played ping pong tournaments and hiked the trails right out the back. We all enjoyed s’mores over the fire pit. We also enjoyed the snow park and the cute downtown. I personally appreciated the cleanliness of everything because I am particular about that. Everything was very well thought out from the decor to storage. A great job on the remodel. Miles, the host, was so easy to communicate with that it was a pleasure. We hope to be back, perhaps in the summer or fall.

Home base for fieldtrips
Our small group of homeschool families rented this beautiful house as a home base to finish our geology study. Central Oregon has so many wonderful geological sites! The house was perfect for our needs - beds for everyone, an amazingly well supplied kitchen, all the toiletries we could need (including full-size shampoo, conditioner, & bodywash in every bathroom,) a stocked guest closet for the things we forgot (yep, toothbrushes too!) cots for extra people, tons of good books to read, games, bikes to ride, and even umbrellas!! The main area is very large so we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. Plus, there are two more gathering areas, all of which allowed us to spread out in the evenings and enjoy ourselves. The house is just a few minutes from “downtown “ Sisters, so we were able to quickly run to the grocery store for ice cream one evening. Sisters is the cutest little town. Some our party took an afternoon and enjoyed poking into all the fun little shops and stopping for lunch at Sno-Cap. We all highly recommend this house and look forward to coming back.
