Lovely relaxing stay
Warm, friendly hosts and a lovely place to get away with family. The pool and snooker table were terrific. Shame the sauna didn’t work but it didn’t spoil the stay

Beautiful stay
It is a great experience staying at the arches, beautiful backyard with swimming pool relaxing in the morning to noon. Close to many winery and easy with groceries.

Weekend Getaway
We were in the Hunter Valley to visit the Hunter Valley Botanical Gardens and see the spectacular Xmas lights. We all enjoyed the facilities especially the tennis court and the swimming pool. Lots of room for everyone and the beds were more than comfortable. We enjoyed our short stay very much.

Excellent for mini break.
Mal & Shirley are friendly hosts and walked us through the property. It was a nice relaxing stay for the family with kids aged 3 to teenager. There were lots of amenities which we unfortunately could not make the most of due to the weather and our late check-in time.

We were only there for a few hours overnight so didn’t get to use all the amenities. I think this property is the cleanest accomodation we have ever stayed in! The hosts were very easy to deal with & responded to my correspondence.

We had been really well received in this huge 2 bedrooms. Everything you need to play is here. Pool is huge, sauna amazing. We spent long time enjoying the bbq area and everything around. Go you wont regret it ! Thank you again to our host, we could have live there our all life !

Almost perfect
This place was amazing with a snooker table, air hockey, foxtel, massage chair, swimming pool, tennis court and full kitchen. The bedrooms were massive and beds were comfortable. We really didn't want to leave and I wish we had more time and warmer weather to enjoy all the features of this place. The only slightly difficult part is that this place only has one toilet. Whilst this was very clear to us before the stay, for 5 adults and an infant a second toilet would've really helped.

Faulty Smoke Alarm and very poor communication with owner
Smoke alarm went off several times throughout the night causing sleep disturbances while staying here for work purposes. Owner has accused us of smoking inside - Which CERTAINLY was NOT the case and refuses to provide evidence of the smoke alarm certification by a licensed electrician. House is not as seen in the photos. Beds are ridiculously uncomfortable and the walls are paper thin, you can hear everything from the bedrooms. DO NOT RECOMMEND this property what so ever!

VERY COOL BUT NEEDS WORK
We needed a property to stay at that accommodated a few of us and also had cooking facilities as we were travelling for work. The property read well and looked fun. We needed 2 bedrooms as there was a couple and an employee. We walked it and was taken back like we had walked into a teenager retreat. I'm not sure if I read it wrong, but very little privacy with bedrooms literally right on top of each other, my partner and I dragged our mattress to the lounge room as we could hear our room mate snoring through the very thin wall. Id hate to think how you would accommodate a family and have any kind of privacy with the 5 beds in the two rooms, not to mention the one very small bathroom. We had to go between both kitchens to be able to cook as the second one in the other area didn't appear to be ready for use, and the fridge wasn't on. It is very outdated and daggy but has so much potential. We enjoyed playing pool but probably wouldn't stay again purely due to the sleeping arrangements. The hosts were lovely

Large house with lots of amenities
We stayed at The Arches for a wedding. We arrived Friday afternoon and came home Sunday. The space is large and has lots of activities included. The house was clean and tidy. Mal and Shirley were lovely and the drinks and supplies were most appreciated. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.
