The Simsbury 1820 House is such a classic, quiet inn. There’s also a very good bar and restaurant. Comfort and good dining give the 1820 House an edge over many other options to stay in the Hartford area.

We loved our stay at the Simsbury House! We were wanting an authentic New England bed and breakfast experience, and we definitely got it here! The staff were very friendly, our room was spacious and clean. It had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again if we’re ever in the area.

Really the place is an actual Bed and breakfast and just needs some scraping and sprucing up of the paint. It was lovely. The large covered porch is beautiful. Our room was pretty with a 4 poster bed and quiet. We did not hear our neighbors. We have been here many times through the years.

Hotel needs an upgrade. Old bathroom, old mattress, air conditioner sounded like a jet engine, no housekeeping, staff super nice, Loud Party Saturday night at hotel… the place is tired but the staff is dressed in nice apparel . Didn’t know there was an ordinance that there would be no housekeeping ?
