Old Forge II, a loft-style/warehouse property on 2 floors, officially listed by the Irish tourist board as 4 star rated, is set in a courtyard next to the oldest stone house in the village and on the site of the old forge.
On arrival you will be greeted with a welcome basket of goodies to get you started and your stove/wood burner ready to light!
There are 2 generous double bedrooms that comfortably sleep 5 in super king size beds, which can be separated to make 4 large single beds. A further single bed and a baby cot and high chair are available on request.
There is a stove/log fire, power showers, 42" Smart TV with cable and Irish channels, DVD player, docking station with radio and CD player, and free WiFi.

Silvermines village has a local pub full of charm and character(s). There is a village shop for groceries, artisan breads, and newspapers, etc.
For the active there are so many walking and cycling trails, mountain bike forest, horse riding, golf fishing and water sports, all available within 10 to 30 mins drive away. There is also a walking trail with a picnic area in the village, alongside the stream; also preserved stone buildings called Cornish steam engine houses which were used in the 1800s to facilitate the mining of tin & zinc.
A 10 minute drive away is the lovely Georgian market town of Nenagh, with bars, coffee shops, boutiques, restaurants, cinema and a farmers market. Also, a Norman castle, a heritage and genealogy centre to search for your ancestors.
In the surrounding area, there are many wonderful "way-marked" loop trails for walking and biking. Search irishtrails ie , location - Tipperary and look the Nenagh area

There are other outdoor activities, such as horse riding, a mountain bike forest, the stunning Lough Derg for Fishing, sailing, various other watersports, golf, tennis, and lots more. The golden sandy beach of Kilkee is a 1.30 hour drive, which also has a dive centre and the best diving in Ireland.
