"The food at the restaurant was terrible. I ordered a bottle of wine and they sent another that was 3 times the price without telling me. They threw us out because they said they had to set up for breakfast while they had other tables still sitting. We were still drinking our wine. "The villa was absolutely beautiful, everything we needed. The location and pool were outstanding - situated in quiet foothills but walkable into the centre of town, the pool is large and surrounded by olive trees and flowers."

"We had a relaxing,memorable stay enjoying the well-equipped villa which is in a wonderful location for breathtaking views and exploring hilltop villages, local lakes and Lucca. We had everything we needed and for the few food items we wanted there are plenty of local shops a short drive away or the very helpful and friendly bar/shop in Casciana-also great for a beer/wine after a walk/day out. Communication with Francesca was excellent before and during our stay. There are plenty of local walks from the villa, quite a lot of hills involved, however, a car is essential for exploring further afield. We came away feeling totally relaxed and refreshed having explored what must be some of the most beautiful parts of Tuscany. Thank you and we hope to be back."
