lovely location close to Siena
the location is great for both being able to see the countryside and Siena. Alice the accommodation manager was fantastic and always responded when we needed some equipment which was not in the house. the bedrooms are large and the beds vey comfortable but there are some issues which really need to be addressed and which I did mention to Alice for her to give feedback to Alessia.
there are 2 villas here one La Luna and one La Sole. the photos on the website do not really distinguish between the 2 so it is not clear which house has the lovely new kitchen and bedrooms ensuite. we stayed in Villa Sole. for 8-10 people the kitchen is really small and not very well equipped. there is no space to move around and very little work space.they have crammed the washing machine fridge freezer microwave and cooker into such a small space and included table and chairs for 4 people not sure why? We had to buy wine glasses on our first night although Alice did bring some on the Monday along with knives as there were only 6. There are 3 bathrooms but only 2 showers as the one over the bath did not work. so 8 of us had to share 2 showers!
the rest of the house is fine a large dining table in a very large living room with access to the garden. the pool is small but great for cooling off and for watching the sunset.
so apart from the downside of the kitchen and bathroom it is well worth renting and Alessia was really helpful when we had any queries.
the downside is not something I have not said to the Owners (or agents for the owners) through Alice as I always feel it is important with any negative response to let them know first.
please Alessia do try and rearrange the photos so guests know which house is which it really was a shock when I first arrived and then seeing the other house and how much more attractive the facilities were made me a bit resentful at first.
