Lovely hotel in a lovely cint!
We loved Siena and the hotel was perfect for us. We arrived in Siena by train so did take a taxi to the hotel (e10). The check in was easy and the staff friendly. We had dinner at the restaurant recommended to us by the staff a few doors away and the food was very good! Hotel was within easy walking distance to city center and all popular sights. Breakfast buffet was very basic, but hand crafted cappuccino was a nice start to the day. Staff was helpful in printing vouchers I needed for our visit to Florence which I greatly appreciated. If going to Siena again I would not hesitate to stay at Hotel Villa Liberty again!

Don't stay in room 104
I saw this same thing in and asked why not 104. The noise from the plumbing that runs right behind the bed was absolutely horrible it started at 4 in the morning and didn't stop for hours. Don't stay in room 104!!!

Pleasant hotel, outside busy tourist area
I booked this hotel for six nights after a week in Rome, with the idea of using Siena as a base to visit other interesting towns in Tuscany. Siena is a charming town, even though it is somewhat overrun with tour groups. I think four nights might have been a better idea as the town is small and you end up walking by the same shops and restaurants and historic sites over and over again. It's also not that easy to travel from Siena to other parts of Tuscany (except Florence) by public transit unless you go with a tour group.

Pretty little villa in Sienna
I stayed at the Villa Liberty for a few days in Sienna. Its a smaller place, very quaint. Its not right in the main town center but a short walk to get there, 10-15 min? Not too much for restaurants in the immediate vicinity, but again a short walk. The staff were extremely pleasant. The room was not huge but as a single traveller I don't need much space. The room was comfortable, and the rain head shower, with lots of hot water, at the end of a long day of walking was amazing. Breakfast is simple, typical bread, cheese, coffee or cappuccino, and boiled eggs. Not a huge buffet but simple and good. If you are driving, parking can be tricky as many people park in the neighborhood for the day, (its across the street from an old fortress), to go into the main town square, so you have to get there very early, or drop off your bags and walk back from where you park and move the car later. If you come in by train, its a 10 min taxi ride from the train station as its at the bottom of the hill and the historic center is up on the hill, most any hotel will be a taxi or bus ride up. Very pretty hotel, clean, well kept, very friendly staff, comfy bed, hot shower. I'd definitely stay here again.

Great comfort,room and location
A lovely top floor room. Very roomy and extremely comfortable. Front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and very elegantly furnished. The location was excellent as it was very close to the centre of the historic town of Siena. The staff in the restaurant were wonderfully efficient and helpful with a special mention to Marco who made our stay specifically memorable due to his helpfulness, and great personality. This hotel added to our great appreciation of this stunning town. We would definitely return.

Great location in Siena
Staff speaks very good english. Back garden setting for breakfast - lovely. Breakfast typical european. Free parking fairly easy to find since hotel does not have any. Bed soft, but large. We were upgraded to jr suite, so we had a seating area, but lighting could have been improved.Hotel is across from the walled fort where you see lots of people running and walking. Furnishings utilitarian. Everything clean. Very close to the staduim and easy to get to the old parts of Siena. Or you can take a cab which is not that expensive. Good for families traveling on a budget. The Duomo is as billed the most lovely Christain church in the world. I would advise EVERYONE to buy the ticket for 4 E and see - stunning!

Good location
Ideal location if you're doing the sights. However, we felt our room , sloping ceiling and tiny windows, was overpriced, even for Italy. We were next to the lift which was very noisy., we were wakened each day at 6:45 am by it. We also found the staff quite cold in their manner. The hotels saving grace was the recently renovated bathroom which was spacious and modern.

Charming hotel in Siena
Hotel Villa Liberty is a quaint and charming hotel just outside the city center. About a 10 minute walk from the bus station and surrounded by a beautiful park and neighborhood. Hotel staff was very kind and upgraded us for free to a room on the third floor. Breakfast was not great (but it was free). Overall a good experience.

Best location and hotel in Siena, Italy
Lovely boutique hotel with friendly staff. The man at the front desk with the British accent who's Italian is a huge help. He gave us great suggestions, really knows the area. We loved Siena and this hotel is perfectly situated, so elegant and classy. I'm recommending it to everyone

Great Hotel
Great Hotel, Room was really cute and clean. We had a little balcony. The staff was really helpful and welcoming, breakfast was very good. The only down side is that the heater was already on and so the room was ridiculously hot, we had to sleep windows open and our room was on the street so very noisy. But not the staff fault because the heating was collective and they could not stop it. Otherwise great location to visit Sienna, 10 min walk from everything.

Great Location
Firstly this hotel is perfectly situated for access into the walled city of Siena. Our room overlooked the fountain and garden at the side of the ancient wall, we had a lovely side balcony. The room was a decent size but the only down side was the bathroom. Luckily my husband and I are slim because the bathroom was so small, the width was only about 4 feet and had a basin, toilet and bidet, you could just squeeze yourself between the basin and toilet ! That said the shower cubicle at the end was a decent size but difficult to get in and out of.

Great value-for-money choice not far from center
I stayed in a single room for 2 nights, room looks very sweet and attractive in a countryside-style way. Bathroom is very clean and spacious, its size is comparable to room's size itself. The only complain I have is to a bed's size, it was a little bit short for my 182 cm. Staff are very nice and helpful people, breakfasts were great and included omelets and unlimited yogurt as a protein source. Location is not right exactly in a tourist center, but ~10 minutes walk away (15-20 to Duomo) which is not a problem at all in such a beautiful city.

The villa was fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay. Served breakfast each morning, it was ok. Room was clean however the villa is old. The location was fantastic, within walking distance to the old town.

Wonderful hotel
We stayed for three nights and had a wonderful time. The hotel is lovely, clean and peaceful and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast in the garden was a nice touch with fresh orange juice each morning too. It's in a great location just out of the medieval centre, but with a view over the town on the (very) short walk into the centre that most people probably wouldn't get to see. I would definitely recommend Hotel Villa Liberty and would certainly stay there next time.

Nice enough room, but much too loud for me.
I was very excited about Hotel Liberty when I booked it after looking at the pictures but I did not feel that it was as nice as it looked. The pictures make the rooms look much larger. However, the bathroom was one of the nicest I encountered during our trip throughout Italy. Overall, this hotel was just WAY too loud for me. It sounded like the people in the room next to us were in our room when they were getting ready in the morning and there was a lot of noise from the street. If you are staying here, I would request to be on a higher floor (we were on the ground floor) or else you will hear the reception and people coming and going. The location was not bad for the price but next time I would prefer to stay inside the city walls or closer to the city center.

Perfect little Tuscan hotel, but slightly further than we would have like from main attractions.
We really had a pleasant stay at this hotel. I loved that they offered optional outdoor seating for breakfast. Our only set back was that it was a good 10-15 minute walk to all of the main attractions, including the bus area, whereas some of the other hotels are much closer (But also more expensive and/or lower in quality). Overall, we would stay here again, and recommend it.

Impressive for the price!
It was a very nice, spacious and clean hotel compared to others in Italy of the same price range. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was included. It was a shame I only stayed for one night. The walls were a bit thin but it's Europe and expected. One thing, is that the hotel employees did not speak as much English as in other Italian cities but communication was still possible. The price was right and the stay was memorable.

Great hotel stay
Very clean hotel. Nice rooms with a generous continental breakfast. Nice area of Siena and despite hearing that it may not be as close to campo as some others; we found it a very short walk as the hotel is near St. Catherine's. Would definitely stay there again.

lovely hotel conveniently located to old sienna
Hotel Villa Liberty is a lovely boutique hotel just a 10 min walk from the heart of Sienna. Our room was clean, modern with a balcony (tiny bathrooms though!). Parking was easy-there are plenty of spots on the street right outside. Wi-fi never seemed to work. Breakfast spread was nice and it was a pleasure to eat in their private courtyard. Staff was moderately helpful (one woman in particular had no clue about the surrounding area!) with sightseeing and restaurant recommendations.
