Tranquil (albeit with country sounds like roosters). Peaceful. It is easy to walk into town, either along a hiking trail or along the highway, which has a sidewalk after a while. "La casa está en una aldea muy alejada de todo. La casa es como la casa de Dracula, oscura, no hay casi luz, es imposible mirarte en ningún espejo ya que no hay luz, no puedes ni afeitarte. El menaje de cocina es lamentable y muy sucio, en las habitaciones no hay perchas, las puertas de la cocina se desmontan , las camas están rotas ……el olor a humedad es impresionante tardo 2 días en irse con ambientadores , las duchas son lo peor no funcionan bien y están mal hechas …..hay algo bueno ? Si fuera...

"We spent a wonderful 6 days at Casa Grande Carlota. Antonio was very helpful with any enquiries we had before our trip and we were greeted warmly on our arrival. The house is exactly as described - or even better. We were amazed at how well equipped it was. The pool is great and there are so many different areas to sit and relax both inside and outside. The covered barbecue area/outdoor kitchen is brilliant and we ate out there every night. There is a very good supermarket in Terras de Bouro....

"This is an excellent property in a beautiful setting. As well as the pool, the house is surrounded by a wonderful garden with orchard, vines, and shaded spots. The very welcoming owner lives next door and went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and interesting - he gave us his own wine, vegetables from the garden and arranged for the local baker to deliver every day. The house was spotless and very well provided with bedrooms and bathrooms. Fast wifi in the house. Cooking facilities...
