"We had an excellent stay here for 3 nights in February. The room, indoor pool, and restaurant were excellent. In particular, the restaurant menu was extensive and reasonably priced, making the decision to eat at the resort easy. "

"Hotel São Bento is a beautiful hotel in a great location near Peneda-Gerês national park. Everyone at the hotel were very friendly, kind, and helped us in English to address our limited Portuguese vocabulary. The restaurant was delicious as well, and the nearby park has amazing viewpoints (miradouros), waterfalls (cascatas) and hiking. We would definitely come back and stay at this hotel again."

"Gorgeous views, clean, modern hotel. Stayed an extra night because it was so nice. Breakfast wasn't fancy but tasty enough. Only complaint is the beds are quite hard."

"Excellent holiday home for a group. Plenty of sitting areas. Kitchen well equipped. Lots of towels supplied. The home was very clean. Mattresses not the best. No mirrors in bedrooms. Internet extremely slow and not available in some areas of the house. Could have used more umbrellas for shade at the pool. A car is definitely a must. Very steep incline from town back up to villa. Town of Geres about 8 minute walk. Lots of cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, gift shops, bus stop for Braga. About 20 min drive to sandy beach. Lots of great walking trails. Check in is late at 5pm and very early check out at10am, basically losing almost most of a day. Antonio and his family were very welcoming and were quick to return messages. Very good hosts. "

"Nice property. The area is very quiet and green. The staff were also helpful and kind. But there’s a need to pay attention to some details: Some areas for improvement: - at night, outdoor lights were not functioning (from the restaurant to the pool area) - room 301: entrance door needs repair. Toilet seat super noisy. The shower floor is bent in the wrong direction, so there is always a lot of water left. - room service was minimal (no towel refresh, no water added after the first day) - there are not enough sun beds at the pool area. There were often none left at around 4-5p - breakfast could benefit from fresher/more ‘homemade’ options. There were too many industrial cheese/jam/bread/toppings. Not a bad breakfast but given the good quality of the restaurant on the evening we were expecting something better."
