Spectacular Torreon Mountain Estate

Exceptional 5,200 sq ft. country estate in the White Mountain’s Torreon Country Club. The home is situated on a wooded acre lot, perched above the fairway of the first hole of the Cabin golf course. Enjoy unobstructed views of this picturesque hole from tee to green, a fairway lake, bridge and babbling brook with open space across the fairway. At an ideal 6,500 foot elevation, Torreon averages a summer high temperature that is 20 degrees cooler than the Valley.

The home is designed to take full advantage of the surrounding natural beauty with a great room that features a 28 ‘ tall wall of windows . You will enjoy the outdoor living area with its dining table, couch and wood burning fireplace. Extensive cedar decking surrounds the home and the recessed spa is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the stars.

Designed for spacious comfort with five oversized bedrooms and 4.5 baths, the home can comfortably sleep 12 in four master beds, and a large bunkroom that sleeps six. Whether a small family getaway or large reunion, you’ll feel right at home.

The house is all you’d expect from a top notch estate with hand scraped walnut hardwood floors, alder doors and cedar ceilings. The gourmet kitchen is fully outfitted with state of the art appliances, a large dining island and granite countertops. The master bath features a soaking tub, gas fireplace and three head steam shower. There are seven large flat screen televisions, three fireplaces, four refrigerators and wireless internet.

The upstairs game room is a great place to hang out with a pool table and large flat screen TV. The BBQ master will appreciate the option of the gas grill, charcoal grill/smoker and sear burner located right off the kitchen in the outdoor living area.

There is no shortage of fun possibilities with all of the family activities within walking distance of the house. The common areas, restaurants and bars are available to guests. The golf club facilities and pool are available to Torreon members only.

The house offers a cool getaway in the summertime with a lot of fun filled family activities. In the winter months, skiing at Sunrise is less than an hour away and often times there is enough snow to sled on the golf course right in front of the house.

Our family has stayed here three times without disappointment. The location is perfect! Beautiful scenery, quiet neighborhood, all the amenities you need in the cabin, and wonderful hosts. Lord willing, we will be back a fourth time next year!

This home is absolutely stunning. The feeling of being “up North” while staying in a home that takes your breath away is a fantastic combination. Perfect location and great house!
This was the perfect spot for our families traveling together. Within walking distance to the Clubhouse, Family Center, Fishing Pond, etc. when they are all open. Great area to ride bikes and just relax in the cooler weather. Kathy was responsive when we had questions and was wonderful to work with. The game room has a few things that need to be attended to, but overall, the house was clean and well-stocked.

Seriously, we were all blown away by just how nice this place is! We’ve stayed at a few places that were pretty close to what we expected, but never one that was even better than we could hope! It was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There were some small issues that came up (random things like to break at inopportune moments) but Paul was easy to contact and went out of his way to fix it without impeding our vacation. I completely recommend this house and these hosts! If you are on the fence- THIS is the place to stay. We visited in the summer but I can only imagine how beautiful it would be in the fall/winter :) Oh and if you want to rent a boat while there- contact WMErentals dot.com. Jeffrey was easy to work with and his prices were awesome. Go to Fool Hollow lake for the day

What can we say but "WOW!...
What can we say but "WOW!". We travel a great deal, and have rented a number of homes through vrbo, as well as through agencies, and this home is, by far, one of the best homes we have had the good fortune of renting. The home is lovely; perfect in every way. From the extremely comfortable beds, the abundance of dishes in the kitchen, the gorgeous outdoor decks and seating areas, to the luxurious jacuzzi tub and fireplace in the master suite, every detail had been tended to. The layout of this very large and beautiful home lends itself perfectly to a gathering of two or three families, but is also just right for an intimate getaway with the immediate family. Whether you chose to hole up in pajamas in the house, or partake of the myriad of amenities that the Torreon Country Club has to offer (such as the pool, arcade room, walking paths, golf course and driving range), you are almost guaranteed to find just what you are looking for in this property. We could not have been happier with our choice of this home for our winter ski trip, and we look forward to staying here again soon!

Extreme disappointment
We stayed here a couple of years ago during fall and the place was absolutely beautiful! Beautiful view, beautiful home. We all said this place would be beautiful when it snowed! So thats what we did couple of years later we came back to the same house...AGAIN ..SAME HOUSE. Same couches, same carpet, same bed comforter, Same dinning table/chairs, Same non working tv. Its just such a disappointment that this house is sooo beautiful but so outdated and $550 a night minimum 3 nights is not cheap. This is our second time doing a family trip meaning we had kiddos as little as 2 years old. Throughout the week after coming back one toddler developed some sort of a virus/ but no strep, just high fever and an unexplained illness and another developed mono? These kids were rolling on the carpet, playing on the couch, sleeping mouth open on the sheets. Its just a huge disappointment i guess going in the first time you just fall in love with how big and beautiful the house is but in reality its just an illusion.
