"The purpose for our visit was to relax quietly after a busy 6 days in Tokyo and Kyoto and experience a traditional Japanese ryokan accommodation and that’s exactly what we got. Our room could not have been more spacious (we did have the largest room) with an indoor balcony with two chairs that looked over the small garden, a large sleeping space and separate private bathroom and porch area. "This ryokan was a top experience of our two-week trip in Japan. Such a charming and unique oasis and glimpse of traditional Japanese life. The rooms and facilities are even better than pictured. An onsen is included in the price, and you can go as often as you'd like. We highly recommend their nine-course meal that you can reserve (for an extra fee) up to two days prior to your stay. They even accommodated our group member's gluten allergy. The ryokan is easily accessible by bus from Kanazawa...

"Lovely stay, we were welcomed warmly and had a fantastic traditional tatami room which included Yukata, television and tea set. The shared bathroom was clean, and the area was close to lots of restaurants but was quiet during the night. The train station is not very close, but we walked it in about 30mins or there is a bus stop very close by."

"We loved this property! The room was fantastic and had loads of space (especially storage for bags etc). We were travelling with our baby and there was a cot, a high chair and baby soap! Also having our own washing machine was so helpful (the property also provided washing powder) and there was space to dry the clothes too. "The hotel is very new and all staffs are very helpful and efficient. Our room is a superior twin plus extra bed and it’s in good size and spacious. We forgot some items in our room and they helped us forward to Nagoya without any charges. Appreciate their customer service team for helping us during our stay at the Sanraku Hotel Kanazawa "

"Location: 8-9 mins from the station so an easy walk. Staff: they were friendly and helpful. Hotel: clean, and has everything you need for a nice stay. It has an artificial onsen (spa) separate for men and women. Note coin laundries are located within the spa change area. Con: no signage at all for the coin laundry which others staying also struggled to find. Information is available via the room tv but you’ve really got to go through it to find that location info. Room: typical style for this chain hotel. Clean, fresh, with bathroom and shower unit. These rooms are the typical size which is fine.bed was comfortable. Water pressure is low but maybe a water saving thing which is fine, wasn’t a big deal. Room temperature is controlled centrally within the hotel, limited room control on it meaning you can’t change temperature, open a window if you need. We all feel temperature different so it was fine but I do prefer the option of how I like the temperature Food etc was all about 5 mins away. Plenty around the train station for people to enjoy. Toyama is really pretty. It’s surrounded by high mountains that were covered in snow and just looked so beautiful. I hope to get back and explore Toyama more in the future."
