"The cabin is simple but comfortable. The lake view is beautiful! It is in a quiet neighborhood with narrow streets. We were able to check in early. We felt very safe and enjoyed the view of the lake from the cabin. It was too cold and windy to be outside. Close proximity to Amish community. Some suggestions for the owner: Window blinds on the large windows for nighttime, soap in the showers and dishwasher detergent for the dishwasher. The bedrooms are large enough for king size beds but only...

"This cabin is very cozy with a beautiful wrap around porch. The kitchen is well equipped should you want to cook during your stay and hot tub towels are provided which was very nice. The owners property is very close and kids were riding go carts around the adjacent property. I have kids so it didn’t bother me but it was not as secluded and private as the listing seemed to indicate. Otherwise I highly recommend this cabin and would book again. "

"A very cute and cosy log cabin on the shores of Shipshewana Lake. We celebrated 2 - 70th birthdays and 1 - 50 year anniversary this weekend and enjoyed the cosy ‘feel’ of the cabin whenever we were there. Enjoyed the Lights of Joy drive thru. Beautiful. "

"The cabin worked for a home base for us, but it was not what was pictured...not even close!! outside was nothing like the picture, cabin looked older. Upon arrival, kitchen sink was dirty, stove had obviously had something hot spilled on knobs that were melted and grimy, stove had no propane, we had to switch the tank over (they did refill it), they provide the charchoal grill as listed, but no utensils. Kitchen equipped with all the essentials. Front porch to sit and watch the world go by. It is about three miles from shops. Close to road leading to Michigan. Try this place for a little getaway. You won’t be disappointed."
