"I chose to pay a premium to stay here because of the pool and hot tub, but sadly the pool area was a bit gross - grubby, slightly murky water and the hot tub was "temporarily" out of action for repair, but looked like it had been in that state for a while with a missing tile and filthy inside. I only swam once in a 2 night stay where i normally would swim twice a day. The room was good, bed was a bit hot due to the latex mattress. Shower was just OK. Great location but not worth the extra 30%...

"Despite what others say about this property we did not have a negative experience. The staff were kind, they allowed us to check in early. Our room was tidy, the shower was nice. "We enjoyed our stay at this lovely family bach in Ngakuta bay. Location was great, right on the water, Ngakuta loop trail, and the link trail. We enjoyed the toys and game room. This is a classic kiwi bach and you need to bring your own sheets and towels. We did not hear back when we inquired about the possibility of renting linens. The property is what we expected from a kiwi back and we really enjoyed our stay. "
