"Nice and relaxing. We had so much fun watching the sunrise from the little back porch, fishing the small ponds and having the cows mooing all around us. The Hosts were excellent and the house was very clean and comfortable. We are looking forward to our next trip to Shiner. It is close to the Shiner brewery and town yet still gives you the feeling of a nice getaway to the countryside. "

"We all had a great time ; especially our granddaughters. James and Marty are excellent hosts. They took the time introduce all the animals to our granddaughters including the goats, chickens, turkey, rabbits and peacocks. The girls got to hold and feed a baby peacock. The accommodations were perfect for us. Thanks for the goat milk for Susan’s coffee. We highly recommend staying at the Byrd’s Nest."
